Wouldn't mind Hareide at all. Rather have him than Clarke, Keane, Lennon, Lambert etc.

Even then, at a team like us I'm sure he would have us playing good football. At Everton his team has to be solid defensively first and foremost because of who they are and their expectations.

Given time at United I'm sure they would have played nice stuff.

He is a pragmatic manager. Im not a fan of his style either but if you pick any of the managers linked im would feel most confident in Moyes getting us into Europe. I still want Rodgers though but would he over the moon with either.

See Liverpool fans or other EPL fans down playing Rodgers achievements at Liverpool is mental as well. Liverpool fans may have a leg to stand on if he didnt achieve their highest placed finish in about 20 years.

I'd have him over Malky Mackay and Owen Coyle, for sure.

Compared to our "gamble" on Ronny....

he actually makes alot of sense as an appointment.

Titles won with every scanadanvian club he's managed, good win ratios with * teams, now a national manager...

dicked the * out of us (wouldnt be hard though)

areshole to boot , hates any notion of a media circus....

Two years ago, he might have been worth a punt.

Not now though, the stakes are too high.

I truly believe with some of the players like Griffiths, Roberts, Rogic, etc are the type of players Rodgers would get the absolute best out of. Even someone like GMS and Rodgers could be the one to get Allan to shine too. Then think of Tierney and Janko being ideal fullbacks for the style of football Rodgers likes to play. Add a few additions and we could have a really good young exciting team under Brendan.

If people want to downplay Rodgers final few months consider this. They lost arguably the best number 9 on the planet, Gerrard's future was up in the air, Sterling was wanting to leave (and did) and Sturridge's injuries became a huge problem because he's such an important player for them. Then consider the "transfer committee" at Liverpool, when Rodgers wanted to sign Williams from Swansea the rest of the committee opted for Lovren because their policy opted for young players. Brendan also wanted Remy and Alexis Sanchez, once they missed out on Sanchez they moved for Remy but for some reason that went through and Balotelli was signed (a player who you could straight away see Brendan didn't fancy). While the rest of the signings he made right before he left are now playing well, Firmino, Milner, Can, Origi once they settled in a bit.

I think you have to take his transfer signings with a pinch of salt, he's just one of a few men who decides the transfers and a few times they went against his wishes. Look at his Swansea record, brought players like Danny Graham, Vorm, Sigurdson (on loan) and Sinclair to the club who all contributed to getting a comfortable finish in their first season in the PL.

It's looking like it, funny considering he turned down Liverpool a few years back.
