I've resinged myself to Roy Keane at this stage.

Would have loved rodgers, but he requires a decent budget.

We're about to get * in the hole by the DD and the board again here bhoys... pucker up.

Keane is a joke of a manager compared to Moyes.

Rodgers is a rich man's Deila, with even more middle management bollocks spewing from his orifice.

You would love Rodgers...but rather have Robbie Neilson than David Moyes?

I hope you're at the wind up.

Am I the only one thinking we might be a bit of a trick with Age Hareide?

    He's a *... maybe we need a *.

Up until this week, I've been convinced it was either Rodgers or Moyes. I also hold out hope it's one of them. However the CEO interview in the rags leads me to believe it's going to be something opposite.

Wouldn't be opposed to Lambert either.

Not at all... im being serious.

At everton the best that was expected of him was mid table mediocrity.

He achieved that, and twice brought them to the verge of relegation, despite a superior budget than that of probably 10-12 other teams.

He takes charge of ManU, team collapses.. sacked.

Takes charge of RS.. team collapses.... sacked.

Preston remains the only real success he's had. ....PRESTON.

Pppl need to stop wanking themselves over a manager who cant control a dressing room, who cant tactically play any other way than defensive break football, who cant survive pressure and who's pished away tens of millions in the EPLand Spain on pish.

I dont want keane.. he's a *, an egomaniac and wouldnt survive a season without a major scandal in Scotland.

    But Moyes... * no.

A wee surf on ANY everton fan board will tell you as much.

Lawwell is looking like he's leaving in the summer, Brett Desmond to take over. Anyway, he's having no say in who the manager is going to be, Desmond taking sole responsibility in the appointment.

Really think that is what we need, a manager who has been with a team in a similar position (Winning the league without too much of a challenge) and been able to get to the group stages of champions league. Age hareide is a good shout.

    All good points.

But as per usual on this forum... youre cherry picking the information you like and making the info you dont... redundant.

Everton were on the verge of relegation TWICE in his tenure, despite of what you claim is a modest budget, that surpassed most other lower EPL sides.

His record wt everton in the transfer market is * awful.

He was sacked by Man U... not because odf results, but because the players, led by giggs, didndt wat him.

He was sacked RS, because of poor results and guess what... the players didnt want him.

AsIve already claimed... a quick search online to an verton forum wll tell you that they would be horrified by his return...

Well that would fit in with what I've been told. Hence why I still hold out hope for Rodgers or Moyes.

    Henrik Larsson (obvious choice ehh?)
Moyes did not keep Everton mid table; he went above and beyond that. He averaged 7th and his budget was modest - he didn't spend more than the lower placed teams that's a lie.

There are plenty of Everton fans who want him back too. The ones that don't:

    1) because it's old and not novel they want something new
    2) suffer delusion of grandeur much like the other EPL fans. They think they're bigger than they are and can get someone like Mourhino in.

He took over an aging Man United team and dos better than LVG ffs!

I can't believe the push spouted up there. Wow man.

Twice? Nah it was once. They finished 17th, the worst place they finished after that was 11th.

When he took over from Walter Smith they were in trouble and he steered them to safety finishing 15th.

His record in the transfer market can't be that bad considering where they finished most seasons. And every manager in the planet makes duff signings. Guess what, your mate Rodgers spent over a hundred million on dross.

So he was sacked because the players didn't want him at United. Okay, and that is Moyes' fault how? Surely the players are to blame there for being unprofessional and not willing to give him a chance? He obviously got on okay with his Everton players to last there for so long. Maybe it was the fault of the United team?

Don't know much about the Socidead situation so can't exactly comment on that.

A quick search online would also tell you that a large number of Celtic fans would be raging with the appointment of Neil Lennon. Does that mean he was a bad manager? No, far from it.

You would hate the appointment of Moyes but love Rodgers. Sorry but you're talking nonsense. Rodgers' track record is no better than Moyes'.

I wouldn't be adverse to Keane because I think he would instill a winning mindset in the squad, and get rid of the dross that has been holding us back.

And if Steve Clarke was appointed his No.2 , provided Keane agreed off course, that would be a good set up

    It's actually laughable.

David Moyes would sort out that Everton team in no time. For their fans to be horrified at the thought of him says more about them than it does about Moyes.

Laughable that anybody can down play Moyes. Amazing how spoilt fans are these days.
