True but £1m a year is more than £0 a year which is what he'll be on now.

He'll not get another gig in the meantime that pays more than £1m a year anyway.

Martinez, worth a punt over some of the dross mentioned so far, but still rather Rodgers.

Doesn't matter who gets the job the board are still going to pose an austerity budget. They will talk to Moyes,Rodgers and other high calibre managers that could do really well for us but instead they will opt to bring in another 'Project' that will fall on his * again in the champions league qualifiers and get bet in the league cup very early again. Also will keep spending on no name players that will jump at the chance to sign for us as they probably won't make the grade as they will be another contact signing from an agent close to Lawwell; Dudu Dahan. Fans will moan until new manager comes in again & will repeat the same pattern. That will also come off the back off 2 Huns defeats again his season coming as the club is not run to suit our advantage to do a lot better than we should be doing.

Disagree with you there mate i am sure it wont be a project it will be an established Manager not an unknown as we lost a * load last year due to the Champions league fiasco and a newly promoted local rival coming up this year:97::shamrock:

Hope I'm wrong but I just can't see anything different happening under this regime. The recruitment isn't changing so for a start. Moyes won't take it as he wants money same will apply to Rodgers after coming of the back of the most inflated league in the world. A wouldn't go back to Lenny as his cup runs were bad & didn't really get challenged in the league as the Huns were already deed and buried. The season he did have though fell before the Huns went into the * he still couldn't win the league as it shows we could have had a better manager in to have prevented that happening. A just know we will end up with someone that isn't high calibre or attractive. The signing policy won't change as it puts off a lot of managers so our appointees will be very small and 'inexperienced'. Simple as that.

Not really....most would consider Lenny a success during his term here, but yet the majority of fans don't really want him back.
Plus Moyes was there for like 10 years, so no surprise they would see Moyes as a step backwards.

He may be getting £0 a year now but with 1 year of his £4m per year contract left, I'm sure his severance pay will tide him over for a few days.
