Lennon beat barcelona, I'd hardly think Lennon would be linked with that job.

How did Moyes and Rogers do in Europe with EPL clubs and money?

I think he would stay longer and not be tapped up until further down the line if doing well.

If this is how Malky presented himself at the interview with Peter, I've a horrible feeling he'll get the job.

I like the thinking behind it, an up and coming manager with decent potential. I just dont think hes done enough in his managerial career to take over with us or has enough experience although maybe a few years down the line he will be in with a good shout.

I think the new manager has a few boxes to tick:

    1) Can develop young players
    2) Proven track record to appease fans
    3) Someone who can play good football but be pragmatic when needs be
    4) Used to working within a pretty strict budget
    5) Good record in the transfer market

Martinez sacked. Be interesting to see Moyes and Rodgers and if they are linked heavily..

I think Everton will go elsewhere personally..

Roberto Martinez sacked just then I think moyes and Rodgers will be heavily linked there as well.

Who says you need experience in the CL to get into it? We just need to appoint a solid manager based on putting a team on the park that performs well, hopefully very well, in Scotland. Success in Europe will be based on a team that is practically invincible in Scotland. We are trying to run before we can walk. A totally pragmatic approach is required until that kind of domestic dominance is achieved. We should definitely be considering who the best manager in the SPL is, and whether they are suitable.

McInnes should be considered. Pragmatism, win at all costs and put development/fancy football secondary. These big name managers probably will succeed, and get us winning, just at a higher cost. They are only feasible if we are going to up the budget.

The fans by and large don't want to go back to Moyes - bizarre considering the stability he brought them and he done very well.

Rogers will be high on their radar - I think they would have him. Although the fans seem to have their aims set higher - Pellegrini or someone of that calibre they want. Even Benitez.

Both of them will e pimping themselves to Everton though, no doubt about it.

Rodgers is 50/1 probably due to managing Liverpool and the fans don't seem that keen.

Doubt rodgers would move to Liverpool's rivals having managed them previously. I think rodgers decision will be based on the comings and goings of other EPL/championship clubs.

Actually, just realised De Boer is leaving Ajax.

Odds been slashed on him to go there. We're fine the now then - Rogers to us back on....:smiley-laughing002:

10/1 now, I would like him as manager but wasnt he on 4 million a year at Everton? He would be taking some pay cut.

True but £1m a year is more than £0 a year which is what he'll be in now.

He'll not get another gig in the meantime that pays more than £1m a year anyway.
