I think Paul may have actually made a serious bet based on Crow's info. Poor guy, did he not learn from Wolf's mistakes?

While I wish Ronnie all the best, I'm not sorry to see him go. However, I cannot get over the amount of people calling for Lennon to come back. 2 of Lennon's titles were won without Rangers and the first one was after they were docked points and then went into administration. Deila matched that in his 2 seasons.

Lennon's domestic cup record isn't much better (if any) than Deila.

His whole "reputation" is based on 2 or 3 great results in Europe. Fair enough we got some great players when he was manager - however, he also wasted a lot of money on Juarez, Derk, Pukki, Balde, Ljundberg, Bangera and Balde.

A lot of the football in his last season was dire. His after match comments were no better than Deila ( Neil says "leggy" as much as Deila says "tempo"). Lennon was also in the habit of blaming the players in public - especially in his last season - that's bad management - simple as that!

I think any new manager will get more passion from the players as much as Lennon will.

Although he wouldn't be my first choice - it amazes me that people are saying the job is too big for Hartley - he has had a lot more experience and success than Lennon had when he took the job.

Admittedly, Bolton was a basket case of a club but Lennon did nothing there - he inherited a crap team and left an equally crap team. Compare that with what Harley did at Alloa with no resources.

Lennon supporters say he's desperate for the job as if that's a great thing - he's desperate for any job and the Celtic job is 1000 times bigger than anything else he's likely to be offered.

The reason Moyes and Rogers are dithering is because there is some chance they'll be offered something in the EPL or championship - Lennon is more or less pleading for the job because he isn't in demand.

I wish Neil all the best but he needs to go somewhere else and rebuild his career - at this point Celtic can't afford that.

The only previous manager the board could appoint that would show some ambition would be MON (although I accept that's unlikely). Appointing Lennon would send out the wrong signals - a sign that we are going backwards not forwards.

Of the names mentioned I would prefer Lennon to either Keane (a complete disaster waiting to happen) or Mackay.

I think Celtic still have 1 - 2 seasons where they should win the league and build up a team and war chest before the Huns are fully back on their feet. Any manager is a risk but we need to appoint the best one we can afford to take advantage of this opportunity.

If we couldn't get Rodgers or Moyes, I'd sooner see Clarke, Lambert or Hartley (or Martinez) get it before Lennon.

Fill your boots on lambert at 6-1 with paddy power , he ticks all the boxes for our board imo !!Nothing flashy ,wont be expensive , wont demand a huge budget ,an ex-player who had a fair amount of success here and is fairly popular with the fans , and also he has cut his teeth in all levels down in england doing a pretty decent job !!If you need anymore persuading then the fact that he told blackburn he was triggering his release clause the day after rony made the annoncement he was leaving might do the trick !! Maybe a coincidence but ive bet £50 to find out lol !!
