So would I. He ticks a lot of boxes for me. The only sticking point would be his style of play. How would his Celtic team play? If he could guarantee good football I'd be more than happy with his appointment.

  2. No he wasn't??
Not at any stage this summer. Never was he that short.

Lambert into 4/7 now, I thought lambert said no way would he manage Celtic only a year or two ago!

  3. I'd prefer Moyes or Rodgers, but Lambo could be a decent shout too.

Much ye want tae bet? :smiley-laughing002:

Was actually 2/9 with Paddy Powers on 4th April. 1/3 with Paddys, Victor and Betfair on the 11th.

Idioteque I’ll laugh until my head comes off

I wouldn't be against Lambert either

  6. Aye but that's when he was in the PL with a big wage & prospects now his career is on a downward trajectory he would happily entertain us. Seems to be a common theme amongst our preferred list of candidates.

  7. Lambert leaving Blackburn and Agbonlahor stepping down from his captaincy at Villa. Re-united at Celtic this Summer? :fear:

The same Paul Lambert who's Blackburn side are 18th in the championship? Nah you're alright.

They lost Jordan Rhodes and didn't replace him hardly his fault

Ex-EPL player on the decline, 1 goal this season, only surpassed double figures once in the last 6 seasons.

Certainly fits all John Park/Peter Lawwell criteria.

  10. Ffs. He's the manager of course he shoulders a large portion of the blame for performances. If management was solely down to the quality of players you had then anyone could be successful. Look at Ranieri with Leicester, a far inferior squad to most on PAPER but his management has elivated them to EPL champions in waiting.

    Nah, he's not. He's 10-11.

After the abuse he got for tackling that guy from One Direction I doubt he'd dare set foot in Celtic Park again.

Aye but he is 10-11 with Bet Victor. :smiley-laughing002:

StPauli was right, 10/11 with Betvictor.

Odds-on across the board now. Not sure this is the inspirational appointment many hoped for.

  17. Not into appointing Lambert.

  18. Settle. If Moyes was 1/3 at one point & has now been usurped by Lambert at 10/11 I wouldn't take odds at bookies as a cast iron indication of who our next manager will be.

  19. I want Moyes but at least I am sure of one thing: this will be no 'experimental' appointment this time, no way. So I am easy with waiting and finding out. Good candidates seem interested, so I guess I will trust Lawell and Desmond on this one.
