If this is the case, with any luck Ajer will be given the freedom to develop his own name as a player.

Big difference being Steve Clarke was prematurely sacked when he had his clubs still in a position of strength and with far less funds at his disposal than Moyes had.

Moyes was sacked correctly at both of his clubs because he was a car crash :50:

Moyes record was better than LVG when man utd gave him his jotters. Suffered the fate of not being a big name. Never know how he mightve got on, good or bad, but to hold that and the Spanish job against him is harsh. British managers rarely succeed abroad - except for the genius that is Stuart baxter.

It was the expensive transfers that Moyes struggled with from memory. Bilyaletvinov, Andy Johnson and ones like that.

That doesn't really concern us though I guess.

I hope not, he lacks charisma and his track record isnt convincing.
Actually, when you come to think of it, if you base potential candidates on most current managerial performance then Paul Hartley is right up that list.
3 successive promotions and has built an established SPL team. Actually pretty remarkable at such a young age for a manager.

When you put it like that, thats a very selective history on things. Like Everton (where he achieved EPL manager of the year twice) didnt happen. Also, as it happens, continually outperforming clubs with a far superior budget, etc.

Are you being serious, saying you'd take Steve Clarke over Moyes?

Why would you honestly give him it over Moyes?

If we need someone to come in and steady the ship quickly and get prepared for the CL qualifiers, then i think Lennon will get the job. He knows the club inside out, has worked with and even signed some of the players at the club and will have a good idea of how to correct things in a timely matter. Im not against this as a short term solution. Lennon will use alot of the current squad with a few additions whereas if Moyes or Rodgers comes in they will make alot of changes to the playing squad and theres no quarantees they will settle and gel.

So do we want someone to come in and hit the ground running to give us a better change of qualifying for the CL or someone possibly better that may require time to put together a team and we miss out on CL qualification?

"Far more failures"- one. Ipswich town.

Sunderland was not a failure and if you look at things in perspective, he left Sunderland in a better league position than many who followed. He actually left Sunderland in a far better position as a club than when he started also.

    This order....

Lennon - Been here before and a lot of his players are still at the club. Self Explanatory.

McKay - Successful down south without a massive budget. Well up for the challenge and an eye for a player.

Martin O'Neill - Checkbook manager but has a feel of the place up here. If he's appointed it means we're at least spending on good players. Just hope it doesn't set us back years financially. Can expect a more physical side.

Clarke - Unfairly treated in his managerial career so far. Bags of a experience under the best of managers at Chelsea etc. So although fairly inexperienced, it's just a hunch that he'll have what it takes.

Moyes - Great job at Preston and Everton. Dreadful since. Hoping you'd get the Moyes of old.

Michael O'Neill - Unsure about this man although obviously he's done well at
    International level.

You'd rather have Malky McKay than David Moyes.

    Just stop now.

Moyes plays * football, is a mid-table manager and not the manager we need.
Rodgers is a better fit but probably not afford him.
If Flores is sacked or leaves Watford I'd happily take him.
Outside them 2 am not sure.

I left Rogers out as it's looking like he'll be back at Swansea. Nothing wrong with MacKay. Good manager.
