For the 1000th time international football bores the life out of me Scotland results don't affect me at all never mind a little bit. although it would be good if they actually qualified for a tournament!

Does my head in when people don't get why I don't bother with it I hardly go mental and gain for Scotland in any other competition either hate all the patriotic bullshite

Plus why does anybody actually care? most Scotland players are not Scottish anyway kind of puts the I don't get why you can support another country when your full blown Scottish out of pup-portion

If it comes down to who qualifies between Eire and Scotland and it;s their match that decides then it will be difficult.
If Scotland can qualify by beating Eire and Eire cant qualify at all no matter the result then i want Scotland to win and vice versa. If they can both qualify if they draw then i want a draw.

 

People should not base their opinions on that *.

This thread alone is enough proof about why nations should be disbanded.
Petty arguments going from one side to the other, some are of course light-hearted, but some are not.
When will everyone realise that nations are a facade, it is a lump of ground made up of clay/grass/sand. Borders are fake, the ruling elite would have nowhere to control if the idea of nations and borders did not exist.

I can see the appeal of being nationalist espically in times of sport, i to was a nationalist in my younger, naive years, until i got educated in the teachings of Marx and Engels. You then realise what bullshit any nationalism is, it was created to keep the working class in check.

 

Not a fan of International football if truth be told. It's not even good to bet on. Out of the two teams in question though, the worst I have felt when either side have lost was when Ireland lost in Paris. I was actually quite gutted that night to be honest. I have never felt like that when Scotland have lost though. So if truth be told, I would prefer to see Ireland win, but I won't be too fussed either way.

 

We should have a thread in the pub where people can name random topics for discussion within the thread and then we can see how quickly RadicalLeft can turn it into a political debate. :smiley-laughing002:
