He is saying this guy told his employer/player/fans that he wants to apply for a different job.
Rumours are fine but for * sake make them a little believable.

When Guardiola took over Barcelona they'd finished 3rd in La Liga, ten points behind Valencia, and eighteen points behind Real Madrid. They won nothing that season.

Guardiola came in and got rid of Zambrotta, Ronaldinho, Deco & Thuram and signed the likes of Pique, Dani Alves and handed opportunities to youth team players.

They were far from the team you're claiming they were.

He had a good spell as manager of Barcelona's B side, Larsson's managerial career up to now is nothing to write home about.

Larsson won't be coming, he is quoted as saying
    "
“The speculation is not correct. I’ll not take over as manager of Celtic.
I’m flattered to be mentioned and regarded highly. It’s natural since I’m now a coach and given my history at Celtic. It’s a job with which I’ll always be linked.
I’m at Falkenberg and enjoying it. This is where my focus is. I will not break my contract.”

Doesn't strike me as someone who would say that then go against his word

    A spell of one year.

The point I'm making is that if someone is considered to have the qualities for the job it doesn't matter if it's "too soon". You're either a good manager or you aren't.

Larsson spending another year or two * about in the Swedish leagues won't make him more suited to the Celtic job. He's either up to it, or he isn't.

Mackay or Moyes would do great jobs for us.

The appeal of Henrik does it for me though. I don't know how good he is as a manager, but there isn't much to lose by taking the risk imo.

well not really, he may have it in him to be a great manager but may make mistakes along the way and lose a few jobs while learning those mistakes.

It's easier to judge a manager with more experience though. A few successful years in Sweden for Larsson for example would make it a much easier choice for the board and it'd ease the worries of the fans too.

I don't understand the negativity surrounding Coyle. He done a fantastic job at St Johnstone and Burnley and his stock was sky high when he went to Bolton. He done okay at Bolton and was well liked by their fans. They did get relegated however anyone who follows English football extensively will know that their squad was ravaged by injury. Their best players were out for months at a time which hampered his chances of keeping them up.

Wigan was always going to be a difficult job with them being relegated and the changes to the squad/european competition etc. The massive point that goes against him imo is the fact that he knocked us back in the past. However maybe there is truth to the argument that he didn't feel he was ready to take the Celtic job ? He has now had mangerial experience down south. He has had both good and bad times (quite similar to WGS actually).

I think he has all the attributes to do well at Celtic. Then again so does Malky and Jackie. I would be happy with one of those three. Got to be a Celtic man for me. Someone who knows the club and the Scottish game.
