I really hope its not a ex-player with little experience. Moyes would be great IMO.

I think we will struggle to achieve the level of player quality reached last season. Its impossible to sustain the purple patch of finding top players like Izzi, Wanyama, Hoops etc for modest money. I think we already know that this season. So, our immediate future success may be more dependent on tactical skill. So, I dont want us bringing in someone just because its an old bhoy. Fair enough if they have top experience but if they dont then background is not relevant IMO. I would like a mature manager with a lot of experience or a manager who is excellent at bringing on young players.

I agree with this. I don't care if it's someone who knows Celtic inside and out, or even knows Scottish football all that well. I just want someone who knows football, a tactician who can take us up a level in Europe.

Nah just a mixture of a really bad year in the real world and going off my fitba a bit this past year.

IMO be happy with Malky or Moyes. Larsson is too far away in terms of experience, in a few years after he's spent some time with a bigger club then maybe.

Best of luck to ye Lenny, forever a legend at CP.

Tell you what, if the board do give the job to Larsson and it all goes wrong then they better prepare themselves for a huge backlash. I reckon a lot of the * off fans would direct their anger at the board for giving the job to Henrik before he was ready for it rather than abuse Larsson for not being up to it.

If Larsson's legendary status at Celtic ends up being damaged in any way, the board will never be forgiven for their role in it.

Larsson's the one I want the least but he's the one we're most likely to get.

I reckon the board will have a similar hiring policy to their signing policy. Get a young inexperienced manager on the cheap and hope we can fluke it into the CL without spending a penny. Larsson's a club legend so naebdy can properly slag the appointment. They'll do it won't they, no way will they bother their arses to pay an experienced manager from down south, and they don't have the war chest to tempt one for less money. It'll be Larsson.

The more I think about, the more I want a foreign manager. This whole idea that the manager should have a connection to Celtic in some form has to scrapped. If we want to move forward as a club we have to stop going for a manager who is no more than a steady pair of hands. As much as I like the guy and would take him here as manager, Mackay isn't going to do any more than Lennon. The same goes for Steve Clarke.

We need someone who will try and change the way we play, more fluent and more suitable to European football. Our matches in the CL are horrible to watch most of the time. We sit back and can barely string 5 passes together. Murat Yakin seems like a perfect option.

I dont see how they can pay Henrik less than Lennon in any case, Jackie McNamara is the cheapest option open to Lawwell and i personally think thats the way he will go

^agreed- I think we need someone with new ideas, a different perspective- someone who'll play an attractive style of football which will be exciting to watch and get the crowds excited.. we can dream and hope I suppose.
