Why are people getting their knickers in a twist? Just support the guy and if it goes wrong it goes wrong. This is an exciting appointment. The board didn't take this decision lightly and just ring up Owen Coyle/Malky Mackay and ask if they fancied it. They tried to find who they think will be the perfect guy. I'm very pleased with that.

    One Ronny Deila!

What are you talking about? Sure he hasn't managed in one of of the top leagues but his achievements are astounding. Plus his transfer policy fits our current one and his playing style is what we have been hoping for, for months

I was being tongue in cheek but I guess it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

    Win Jansen.

Had none of these, worked in a right budget and stopped 10 in a row from a rampant expensive Hun side.

Calm yer weesht and give the guy a chance.

And what Celtic manager gets £20mil to spend? If they did Lenny would still be here

So Deila doesnt have the necessary qualities to manage us but you'd opt for Kennedy before him? Wow.

    One step at a time.

Last 8 would be an achievement....and an earner.

You have stated your opinion and I replied pal. It usually works back and forth, * for tat on here.

Surely you should be able to argue for your position, otherwise it wasn't really that strong in the first place.

:smiley-laughing002: you've not given one reason relating to Ronny Deila exclusively to why he'd be a bad choice. Nothing about HIM what so ever.

Your whole case is based on the fact he's foreign and hasn't played or managed a big club in scotland.

Tell us what is wrong with him as a manager.

    * * right.

This guy is a winner, we need winners, not mediocre EPL failures.

Really excited, think he could be our Pep Guardiola

Stromsgodset manager Ronny Deila has flown into Scotland to finalise his move to Celtic.
Parkhead chief executive Peter Lawwell earlier travelled to Oslo to meet with the 38-year-old before accompanying him back to Glasgow.
Deila has enjoyed an eight-year association with Stromsgodset as both a player and coach, helping them win the Norwegian Cup in 2010.
Praised for building an attacking team on a shoestring budget, he has also spent time studying Borussia Dortmund’s Jurgen Klopp.
Deila previously admitted he was “flattered” to be linked with the role following Stromsgodset’s cup defeat to Tromsdalen, revealing he dreams of coaching abroad.
His appointment would bring Celtic’s two-week search for Lennon’s successor to an end after the Northern Irishman stepped down from his post in May.
Lennon won three successive league titles as well as two Scottish Cups during his four years in charge.

If you can rate the Scottish under 19's league above the Norwegian premier league you need to get yourself checked

its not guaranteed that we will and should beat 3 teams in highly charged games for the jackpot of £20million pounds

but you have already stuck that on him if he and the team fails and you call yourself a Celtic supporter you should hang your head in shame

we all want and so i would imagine he would want to progress but we could have jose mourihno and still fail to progress through this your out of order putting it all on him and hes not even through the door yet
