Looks like it will be this Delia Smith guy, strange one. But he is used to working with * all budget and being dictated to so seems a logical choice for this Celtic board.

Hardly make much difference as he won't understand the Scottish people at Celtic for a start .

I think we've all been suckered into a Peter Lawwell/PaddyPower led scam.

    I want my £20 back!

That is precisely the point. There is no evidence for this story you've made up. What you're doing is not joining dots, it's extrapolating beyond what the evidence actually allows.

What has anyone said that was so weird? The comments of Larsson, Keane and O'Neil make perfect sense if they were approached along with several others as part of an early stage in the process when we were, as Lawwell said, talking to a number of candidates. None of them said anything that's crying out to be explained. Even the hurried statement and interview make sense in the context of O'Neil leaking that Keane had been approached for talks and the media having spun that into us practically having offered him the job.

Honestly, there's nothing there that particularly needs to be explained. I just don't get what you're basing this whole complicated soap opera in your head on.

Can see this guy being a big success here in all honesty, by all accounts his team play good direct football and has that slight element of madness to him which will get players playing for him and the support fully behind him.

He hasn't got John Robinson, John did not go to work with him at Sunderland , hence the poor performance from O'Neil . John Robinson suffered a heart attack since then and will never work at his previous level again .
MO'N for his own selfish reasons put the story about Keane and Celtic into public knowledge , Neither Keane or Celtic wanted it known until he was appointed , nor never known if it fell through or if Keane was unsuccessful . Keane couldn't bear the thought of being unsuccessful and so he withdrew .
O'Neil continues to have his assistant and probably will continue should Keane become assistant at Villa . Also important as the ROI drop to their lowest ever position in FIFA 's ratings O'Neil has the Irish media concentrating on the Keane saga rather than plummeting ratings of his team.

The first question at the press conference if this manager goes through is:

    "is this a joke?"

and the second question, should be:

"no really, is this a joke?"

This Norwegian nobody is not exciting at all. So what he beat Rosenborg last season, so did St Johnstone!

You can't manage Celtic out of a textbook, maybe for the unambitious small clubs you can, but not Celtic.

Ronny Deila has arrived in Glasgow. Expect Celtic to parade him as the club's new manager tomorrow.
