    To be fair, the maximum we should pay is about £300k. We aren't going to fly in with that though because they might try and hike it up again, so we will probably enter with £100k.

    I think he himself definitely wants to come here. After 6 years he will no doubt see this as a good move for him and a big step up in terms of club stature. For that reason I think we will get him, cannot see the chairman keeping him there against his will.

    An unhappy and unsettled manager is probably worse than having an unsettled player as it will impact more upon the whole feel around the place.

    Interested to see what happens now.

    Exactly. We're hardly going to offer the full whack straight away. Not the Lawwell style. Lowball them, then go lower, offer an even lower amount, confuse the * out them. Then offer a tenner more than the initial offer which they accept as they can't figure what's going on.

    Strømsgodset have turned down a bid from Celtic. Negotiations ongoing.

    Few saying there surprised by how incredibly low the bid is, from a club our size.

    If the manager wants to go, he will. In the end of the day stromsgodset wont have another option then let him go because they will not want to have a manager who has been denied a move to Celtic.

    I've had a varied range of emotions during this period. Having wanted Henrik, then Keane and now I am pretty impressed we seem to be thinking outside the box. The only constant opinion I have had throughout is that I don't want Coyle.
