Its obvious. Big himself up for the job, he's clearly one of the favourites.

Its encouraging to see us linked with him in all honest. He knows Scottish football inside out.

Don't no much about this guy but he sounds promising sometimes an unknown guy can turn into a little gem so let's go for it

I think it would be quite good to mix things up a bit with a young European manager like Ronny Deila or Thomas Tuchel bringing in fresh ideas :50:

Playing exciting football with a focus on youth development and both have overachieved at their clubs in relation to the position the club was in when they took over.

I'm all for this as there's a good chance we will be playing stormsgodset in our first qualifier, so let's * them up off the field so there's less chance of us slipping up on it.

Remeber, no yoofa cup if we lose the first qualie.

Type of left field appointment that could work wonders. Beating Rosenberg to that league is an achievement especially when you're at such a small club. Solksjaer doing it with Molde was equally as impressive.

Deila would be a total surprise appointment, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Would be very excited to have someone like that come in. Certainly he looks like he has a lot of potential as a manager and might be daring enough to do things with Celtic other managers would be to scared to do, such as playing attacking football against top sides or trying to bring in a different kind of player.

Would still like it to be McKay or Clarke but wouldn't mind this guy either really.

After reading this in a blog about Deila, I got a throbbing erection as this is exactly the type of manager I would like to see at Celtic. PETER, MAKE IT HAPPEN! :100:

that is just pish. the guy has a win ratio of 60% across his whole career. before sherwood, he had the highest winning % of any tottenham manager since 1899. at chelsea he was undermined at every turn by the senior players when he tried to make the drastic changes that were needed so he cant be held totally accountable for the decline there. at tottenham, he was unfairly sacked because a bundle of players were signed that he didnt actually want and werent contributing anything to the team

deila is exactly the kind of manager we should be going for - someone who will bring an exciting brand of football, understands the direction the game is heading in, will get the best out of our current players and give our youngsters a chance.

none of your preferred candidates are going to bring the style of football that i believe most fans want to see. aside from moyes, none of them are really that more proven than deila and even moyes himself was underachieving for the last couple of seasons with the players he had at everton....martinez has achieved more and in a more exciting manner in just one season than moyes did in the previous 3. i think our players would be stifled under him

Kind of adventurous forward thinking coach/manager that I would be enthused about. Like the sound of this.

Excited the more I read up on this guy.

If Lawwell and Desmond need any encouragement to pull the trigger, this guy's style and attitude in the Champions League could make us the next hipster club for Europeans and emerging markets to go mental for. THINK OF THE SHIRT SALES PETER $$$

My thoughts too. He'd be a real Gary Hooper of an appointment if you get what I mean.

Finally a gaffer we can all get excited about,
Because I am excited by this lad.
Brilliant move by Celtic , I'd love to know who decided this guy? John Park maybe?

The only thing I would add tho is I would not read too much into his trips over working with Klopp and Rodgers tho because I know Irish league gaffers have done the same and Klopp for example could be having a chat with 10 different managers from different countries at the same time.

@BrendanHusebo: Celtic fans: you could be very lucky soon.

This guy is usually on the money with Norwegian football. I dont think he likes us though lol. He always said Henriksen was too good for us a way back when we were linked to him.

Are these sources reliable? Are they journalists or people who are close to him?
