Fluke season. He's never managed a win % above 50 for any club he has been at. He's proven time and again that he shouldn't be trusted with money.

Much like Keane and Coyle, I don't want Hughes anywhere near Celtic.

Why do people want Malky Mackay?

If think the fact he was unfairly treated at Cardiff is some how making him a brilliant manager.

Although it's not been that long since Neil Lennon left, the situation Celtic are in regarding the Champions League qualifiers and the need for new players means that we don't have time to waste. Roy Keane might not have been everyone's choice but at least it seemed like the fans knew what was happening with the managerial position. Celtic will have a list containing many names but from the outside looking in it feels like we are back to square one again. It's difficult to remain patient due to the importance of games so early in the season.

actually this dragging on for weeks and weeks would be idiotic in this day and age

theres a few scottish managers that could do a job

outsiders them all and i'll be laughed at no doubt

jackie macnamara fpr what he done at thistle and dundee utd

john hughes for the football he had falkirk playing

john collins for the success he had at hibs and the football they played

billy reid and alex neil billy reid done a great job laying the foundations for passing football at hamilton and alex has taken over and got them promoted after his 1st season in charge

all of them have more experience than neil lennon did when he got the job

Maybe so, but that doesn't change the fact that Clarke's a much better candidate than Keane.

I think Celtic should be seeking to appoint a manager before the World Cup starts. Then he can focus on pre-season preparations to avoid players being too distracted by the tournament. At least the benefit of the World Cup being in Brazil is all the games are played in the evening. Therefore pre-season training can be taking place during the day.

I will be happy with Larsson / Clarke, Mackay or Garcia. I think each option can take Celtic forward.

Larsson / Clarke: A great player and a great coach. I am sure they could combine well as a management team

Malky Mackay: He did a good job at Cardiff who harshly replaced him. I think he would help build a solid team

Garcia: I like his footballing philosophy. With Celtic virtually guaranteed to win the league next season, I would like to see a return to flair football. Garcia can help deliver this

No: the fact that he completely rebuilt Watford and substantially improved Cardiff makes him a v good manager.

Personally id be happy with Steve Clarke or Mckay. Both good coaches and Clarke especially also has experience of working with top players at Chelsea.

Yes I agree with your comments. I think Malky has served his apprenticeship well. Celtic would be a logical next step and I think his appointment would benefit both parties.

Tries to play good football, has experience of working alongside Cruyff and would have connections in mainland Europe. I would have liked to see the board taking a bit of a leap of faith and giving him a chance. He won Maccabi Tel Aviv their first league title for 10 years in his managerial debut season and didn't do too badly with a very average Brighton side.

    Yes we do.
Keane was offered the job and for some reason (ie 5m budget) has turned it down.
    Simple as that.

    Dont really get it either.

Halmstad - my local team here in Sweden that play in the "Swedish Premier League" and are considered a quite classic team here (Had not been relegated in 40 odd years or so), appointed former Espanyol B-Side manager Josep Clotet Ruiz who were considered "The next big thing" over here got relegated the same season after having 11 points after a full season which is the new record for lowest ever points in Allsvenskan.

Im not saying that this would be the case for us, since we wont ever get relegated, but i would prefer someone else to him. His record is not in any way better then other names floating about.
