Could be none of the above. Most if not all of the guys on that list have been pushed forward by the media, ex players etc with only one (Keane) that's been confirmed to have had a chat with DD. With all of the bookies front runners dropping by the wayside and every 'source' being wide of the mark so far then who is to say that the board have not received a CV from left field that has really impressed them, someone other than the usual fodder we're being fed. I wouldn't put it past our secretive board to have something under their hat.

And that was one of the few times we did our business in public. We tend to keep it in house until the last minute. Even on Friday, we put out a statement saying he hadn't been offered the job and we were looking at other candidates. Seems like the media jumped the gun.

I like Clarke. Not much experience as a manager but I like Clarke and he's a good Tim.

 

I'd be happy with Clarke. Much better than Keane.
