Ah * it. The league is boring anyway so might as well get a mental * in. I'd be happy to be wrong about him.

Unless moyes wants the job. :smiley-laughing002:

Because it is generally the manager and his staff who bring the young players on. Who's going to teach Keane?

Could either be another bigger name like Laudrup or a cheaper choice like Coyle.

What is Petrescu like as a manager? Only know him from Unirea when they pumped the scum.

You really have to question his judgement with some of these signings. Andrew Cole, Dwight Yorke, Malbranque and a few others were great on their day but were well past it at this point. I hope he doesn't go against our signing policy and sign 30+ year olds.

El Hadji Diouf and David Healy for crying out loud!!!

Petrescu has a good win percentage at every team he has been at normally averaging between 45 and 70%

43 plus million in his second season, brutal list as well through all those years..

No imagination, just a list of ex united players, ireland players and duds..

    * me, that is painful reading, be some culture shock, searching outside of the isles for cheap gems..

That is the only thing that i would welcome about Roy Keane. He would definately not let players get away with a * attitude and if they didnt play for the team they would be out. Some of the lazy * could be in for a shock. No bad thing.

My only fear is the transfers. I know it has been mentioned maybe the manager has less influence now and its more Park and Lawwell but still, surely they have some influence?

His transfers at Sunderland look tired and un-inspiring. * £6m spunked on Chopra? I mean £6m would be a luxury to us and he see's guys like Chopra as worthy of that - back then aswell!

I dunno, I still like the man aswell. He could attract better players and more importantly - bums to seats. What's his football like though?

If Keane gets the gig fine, far better than that idiot Coyle killing the club.

Probably the most notable thing about this list is that every single one of these signings are his. You can see the connections between him and most of them. I.e Celtic players, Scottish players from when he played here, Ex-Man Utd youths and legends, Irish etc.

I dont mean this as a positive. Lennon relied very heavily on the advice of John Park and the other scouts. And rightly so. It seems Keane only signs who he wants. I can see a very restrictive transfer target list.

There is a list of candidates and I don't think there is one everyone would agree on whoever it is will need our utmost support even if you don't agree with it I am not overjoyed with Keane as the manager but if it is him he will get my backing we have important qualifiers coming up soon we don't need a lot of negative energy from our own support.

We've been building a good young squad that can only get better with time. With keane i can see him wanting to bring in older experienced players that will seriously mess up the system we have in place.

The list of players he's signed is frightening.

His signings were nothing short of disgraceful, i know gordon was good at the time but 10 mill plus for him and russell anderson was criminal..

Chopra 5, that donkey mcshane for 2.5 and mcartney 4.5, scandalous figures..
Big niall quinn had a lot to.answer for the mis management of out goings at that time also..

Worrying times if this is our lot and he's allowed to loosen the purse strings..
