Who smokes?

Really cant tell if your being sarcastic or not? I mean younger people around my age who start smoking to be 'cool' its just pure stupidity. Whats cool about inhaling smoke into your lungs? I understand how addictive it is though and feel sorry for people who try to quit and genuinely cant

 

smoke way too much have been since a was about 12

 

Smoked a power when I was younger. Started at 13/14, started smoking a ton of hash at 15. Quit it all at 20 because I was ill and smoking would have jus made it worse. And the thing that always got me was entering the Beatson and all these older folk sitting outside with an oxygen tank smoking away, (I know, oxygen is extremely flammable).
Now I just can't stand it and it kind of sucks coz all my mates smoke. They are all really cool about not blowing it in my face, opening a window or leaving the room. But after seeing me in hospital (not because of smoke) but seeing people in hospital that are there because of smoking, why don't they try quit. I must save about £100 a week now, plus I don't wreak of smoke al the time

 

Used to smoke in high school was more of a coming of age thing thinking its cool in second and third year realised it took alot of money then decided to give up.

Never bothered about smoker around me my papa and granmaw smoked like *.

Yes. Average 10 a day. More at weekends if i'm out. I want to stop but I enjoy it so I'm stuck.

 

Not a heavy smoker, but a smoker none the less. On the roll ups at the min and i definately want to to get around to quitting at some point...It's when im out and having a few pints that it gets hard not resist!

I understand it but it is very shallow and condescending to judge somebody via a bad habit...

Though I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't say I'm guilty of similar tendencies in other situations...

 

Aye was smoking 40 to 45 rollies a day but really started whezzing badly and was nearly of them ,but like you know a family matter arose and i hammered them again but dropped back down again ,hopefully very soon ill be off them.

 

non smokers = don't stink, don't have brown teeth / yellow fingers, live longer

 

Tried it once on a night out, was horrible. Couldn't stand the fact that I couldn't get the * smell off me.

 

Well im talking more about people around my age (15-17) because its obvious you start at that age to be 'cool'

 

I try not to smoke near kids. I wonder what causes more damage. Someone smoking each day, someone drinking 6 plus pints a day or someone who eats McDonalds daily.

Don't smoke. Tried it for a week when I was 15 and I didn't enjoy it. Mainly because I tried smoking weed before I smoked * so I didn't enjoy smoking * because they didn't get me stoned. It's a habit I'm glad I've never taken up.
