Now i am sure that you obviously missed at least the game against Utrecht.....he also was awfull over there. Don't know if you ever see a game of Celtic, i think you did not.
I Saw some good games of him, but also saw some bad games of him. And, talking of pace: he does not have pace at all!! The good thing about him is his selfrespect and his strong body. Still now convinced of his qualities however.

    and they aren't getting pelters.

tbf, its a tough argument you're putting up because there's been so much turnover in the team. there are very few left on this team that lenny didnae sign. the majority of last years team was absolute pish as well so anybody left over has a high probability of getting pelters because they are likely pish. lets not turn this into a "blame lenny" session here

he's a rightback m8 and we're sorted there. i know, he played in the middle against the huns but he can't be counted on weekin weekout as our CB of choice. he's a stopgap in case of emergency. whats needed is a permanent choice that we actually spend some money on to be paired with majic mountain so we're sorted there and don't have anymore questions. look what we did with our LB situation.

i know i'm gonnae get killed for this but why don't we sign jay demerit. he still doesn't have a team and although he's not world class by a mile, he's better than loovens and hooiveld. might be worth a look

Lets not get carried away by Maj now... he has been decent in the SPL, but shocking in Europe, if we are wanting to be successful in Europe, I think we need to improve the quality of defender we are signing.

I know hes a bit of a stop gap but think he be a perfect foil for maj hes played CB when he was younger has some pace to recover and could turn out like mcnamara and play there I totally agree need to spend money in january just want to get there level or ahead of the huns cant believe never signed CB in august hope lennon thinking strengthen in january when huns will have no money. Jay demerit dont know much about think hes got pace but anyone's worth a look.

demerit was the CB for the US in the world cup. he does have a bit of pace. not overly cerebral but big maj could tell him where to go and direct a bit in the way mjallby did with bobo when he first got here. like you said, worth a look anyway because what we got aint good enough

    Fav Celtic Player:
    McStay, Moravcik, Di Canio, LARSSON!
Mmmm noticed I've been quoted numerous times in this thread and I've been away in the World Football forum!

To answer a lot of people, it's not just 1 game that Rogne's impressed in, I watched him a few times in pre-season as well and he was consistently excellent. The other 1 or 2 games last season where he got injured he was excellent up until that points.

The Maj thing - yes he didn't play well against Utrecht and incidentally I did miss that match, but all I said was (one way or another) "he isn't dodgy unlike our other CB's". A fair assessment no?

i would rather hoovield than loovens, think he is more positionally aware ,we have speedy full backs to cover lack of pace , wouldnt want to see them bomb forward to much against rangers
