David Beckham isnt happy at Madrid, the manager doesnt want to play him and i think hes teed himself up nicely for a move in January. Hes made a good amount of cash, is more of a brand than a player in some ways but is still top quality. Would be a good move for celtic with the money side and also the added quality down the right wing. BECKHAM FOR CELTIC

Several SPL players have been suggested. My only worry is the league may become even weaker if we take all our local best. Not sure what to think because on the other hand I would love a team of 11 local players Lisbon Lions style.

If they are selling players for money that they cannot get replacements with, then they deserve to be that far behind us. How else do they expect to improve if they sell clearly talented players for dirt money

he retired at the age of 30 (he is 38 nowadays). his body couldn't handle the physical pressure anymore when he was 27/28, that's why he quit a few years later.

he works for the swiss telly now whenever the swiss team's got a game.

yeh I hate when spl clubs accept pennies for their stars, hope if brown and thomson go to england collins holds out and gets gd money - mayb 4m+ each - why not? english clubs would throw twice that at Championship teams for players who dont have their ability.

teams need to stand up to this bargain basemeant nonsense

Like we got Mark Wilson for pennies, can they go out and get replacement for the money they got from us? NO, Dundee United got robbed in broad daylight.

yeh so many examples, faddy 1m to everton, suppose we got pearson for a pittance, boyd to huns etc

i know these clubs cant turn their nose up at 1m odds, but if they have players on 2-3 year contracts they could easily milk more from english clubs, get money and improve the league.

seems around europe clubs only need to produce one gd player - get 10m for him and thats them sorted, money to progress.
