both hibs guys are on rather long contracts.

brown is contracted to hibs till 2010

thomson is contracted untill 2011.

so it will probably take .. maybe 2.5. - 3m each player to buy out that contract.

one things for sure .. teddy bears wont be signing either .. as for one they dont have that kinda money.

2. the least place rangers needed strenghth was / is midfield... thye have square baw , clement etc in thier .. i cant see them buying 1 never mind 2 ..in jan especially. due to financial restrainst held by the mint.. he wont go down that road..

I often have mentioned a backup goalie, well I like Boruc but was surprised he was picked to play against Belgium, anyhoo I saw that game on TV, and Boruc did it against St Mrren and a few times against Belgium, his kick outs while the ball is in play are very scary at times.

 

hartley hasn't got the ability to change a big game

 

Craig Gordon and Paul Hartely would provide decent squad depth and looks very likely that they be leaving Hearts in January. Thomson and Brown would be decent aswell.

We need a left and right full backs of sufficient quality to be push Naylor and Wilson for spots

If possible (i.e. other clubs looking for them) Pearson, Telfer, Balde, Thompson should get the door

Could everyone forget about Hartley please? The guys a decent player but well over-rated. He has had some cracking performances for Hearts and Scotland, but he's nowhere near consistent enough. Plus the fact that NO ONE who supports Celtic should forgive him for what he tried to do to Ross Wallace in that new year game when we pumped them 3-2. It was pure and utter malice and if he's got that kind of thing in him he could drag the good name of Celtic right down to the gutter. * PAUL HARTLEY!!!

Tymoschuk is the only central midfielder we should go for imo, and maybe Brown aswell, but what would that leave us with? Lennon (fair do's only for the rest of this season), Gravesen, Sno, Jarosik, Tymo and Brown all fighting for 2 positions. I know it's good to have some competition but thats taking it to far, and people moan about MON wasting our money?

Craig Gordon, 2 full backs, a central defender and a top-class striker is all we need apart from that.

(Theres just no pleasing some people eh? )
