Van Dijk is one game from the criticism again.

Sammy isn't.

I think Sammy has now bought himself some grace from the Celtic support, Van Dijk is still one bad performance from being a dud again.

Loving Van Dijk myself as well and Marc Reiper is a great shout. I was a massive Reiper fan as well.

 

For me my current Celtic favourite is Joe Ledley. Mr consistency, scores some big goals and clearly has developed a real affection for Celtic over the past few years.

 

Apart from the Karagandy game, what other games has Van Dijk been ropey in? None that a can think of.

 

He took stick in the ICT game. 2-2 game.

 

Van Dijk had unbelievably harsh criticism in Kazakhstan. He had a shakey night granted, but wasn't it his first major game for the Hoops and he had just got back from injury? Plus he played beside Mouyokolo in that game who was horrendous.

The lads a star and is becoming one of my fave players.

 

Mouyokolo was being praised to the heavens after his debut, only to become the fall guy along with Virgil against Karagandy.

Give it time, Van Dijk will be hated again when he has a * up.

 

No he won't. It will be like Wilson, he was hated for a while then was a hero, left a bit of a hero.

Van Dijk was already had his time of ridiculous hate. Time for him to be a hero now, he is too good a player to have that much of a fall. Obviously there will be one or two wee fannies pipe up when he makes one mistake.

Looking at this poll Samaras is a clear Leader. It just shows how much a player can change. I bet a large proportion of the people selecting him as favourite would have punted after being beat by Ross County in Scottish Cup. It really shoes the strength of his character to turn that round and become a fan favourite.

 

The Ross County game was 4 years ago, plenty of time for a player to turn it around.

Not even close to the amazement of the amount of people with Van Dijk as their favourite.

Surprised van dijk is so far ahead of players like forster after such a short time in the hoops.
