Sorry, but what Mr Desmond has in his pocket and what the majority of Celtic Supporter have in theirs is a little bit different. They don't need our money, we need his money.

A massive changed is required, players in/out and that's not going to happen with fan support, that will only happen with Mr Desmond.

I don't agree with asking him for anything as we shouldn't have to, but it's time Mr Desmond showed how much Celtic and the "Celtic Family" means to him.

Jim Traynor (I hate to say it) got it spot on in the record today. Time to put up or get out.

It's been worse, anyone remember the late 80's and early 90's??
We have been spoiled in recent years which is probably why this is hard to take.
I was as * off as anyone at Hampden on Saturday but I will renew my season tickets next year.
We don't have a devine right to win but we should expect better than we have seen this year. I don't wear blinkers and I don't support the faithfull through and through brigade but I am a Celtic supporter and will be until the day I die.
I also think everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if this means they won't be renewing then so be it.

I'll follow and support Celtic through the good times and the bad, just because the team is a current shambles doesn't mean that i won't be there week in, week out.

You are completly and utterly wrong on this one...

I questioned 2 members as to WHY they where renewing it, as on the basis of them saying ITS STILL CELTIC.

Absolutely everyone else who has contributed to the thread, i have agreed completely with their reasons on why they will be renewing theirs, and I hope they are right also.

So you are 100% wrong on this one!

Where did I say I was?

No reason? I love Celtic and I love going to the matches, surely that's reason enough? I can't sit and listen to the game on the radio, or an internet stream when I know I could be at the match, it just annoys me.

As far as I see it, I'll be making the most of the remaining games on the season ticket, as I have paid for it. However, I will not be giving the club a penny until the end of the season when they beg for my renewal.

I spent around 250-300 euro coming over for that game on Saturday and I was angry at the lack of effort more than anything else however I will be renewing my season ticket for next season as well.

Season ticket prices have been frozen recently and I expect they will be again this season however I do agree they are still too high. It's not just about the football for me, going to the games I get to meet up with my family and have a laugh with the lads from the supporters club no matter what the result so that's why I'll continue to renew for as long as I can afford to.

We can't afford to attract players of the likes of Henrik, Sutton, Hartson etc anymore that's a reality we just have to face and is therefore not a factor for me in deciding whether I will renew my ticket or not.

Lots of fans at many clubs are unhappy at the direction their club is going, and aren't happy with the board (Man Utd & Liverpool for example) yet still go to the games to support their team, it's a bit poor if people don't go to the games when the going gets tough and then when we're good again they're back with bells on.........

I am unsure at the moment. Iv'e been paying £520+ for the last few years, not including European games theres another 100 a season, but we get fed the same * each year "renew and we will build on what we have got" blah blah. I agree that prices are far to high to watch sub-standard imposters disgracing OUR club.

If prices were lowered, we had a clear and concise plan as to what will be happening in our club then a lot more people would renew. But as many have said enough is enough. Over the last 2-3 years you can get season ticket whenever you want where there was a huge waiting list previously. So if the peolpe that aren't going to renew do the board honestly think they will fill there empty seats no problem? I dont htink so. So if they are offering season books all year round now and if Celtic can't even sell 40,000 and decreasing, who do they think are going to be filling the stadium each week?

THis is a poor situation that they are putting themselves in coz they are going to lose more money than they think they will make jsut on season tickets alone. Somthing has to be done to ensure the fans that they are the ones who make Celtic FC a club that cares for it's fans and not one to rip them off.
Does anyone remember a wigan mathc earlier this year? They got humped and felt that bad that the fans got their money back! bad business but they showed that they deserve better. This season has been diabolical and WE DESERVE BETTER. I'm not saying give us our money back but show us the same decency and loyalty that we show Celtic FC.

im celtic to the core like most on here but everyone has the right to do what they want, after all some season tickets are 600pound its not as if like there 100pound or soemthing its truley alot of a money and some people have familys etc were the 600pound would be better off if they choose not to re new

but i'm not renewing as i'm moving to play football on a saturday but will be hittin the carry out shop for the away day madness when i get a chance :icon_mrgreen:

    Great post!!!

I understand your reasons completly, the social aspect etc....

But when living only 30 mins from Celtic park, and feeling the way we feel, its a bit different.

Aslo, I like when you say that the reality is we cant afford the players like Larsson Sutton etc... anymore, but this isnt a factor for you either. thats fair play, and fair play to you. But as Season book prices are slightly more than then, and the quality has diminished greatly from that time, then it has to be a factor for me.

But for the lies of yourself, even more than me, i hope it picks up, as financially, no matter what, thats a lot of money to spend, even on teams with the likes of Larsson etc... but for you to pay that, for me without the social aspect for yourself, you are being ripped off, and the board know and rely also on fans like yourself jonting over from ireland, thats what makes the current regime even more hard for me to swallow...

supporting the team does go a long way..look at portsmouth for instance their board of directors * that club up big time and got them relegated

the fans supported the club at wembley yesterday and got them to the FA CUP final

supporting the club is the way ahead.

As much as I hate to say it the huns attendances have never slipped either in recent years , we where winning leagues by massive margins and on course for 4 in a row only a year ago . Will we be turning round to each other in 5 years time again and saying I was there when only 20,000 where turning up to home games .

Sad but true. I'd put that down to there being far more Rangers fans in Scotland than Celtic, though.
