Does Gallardo speak English? Another interpreter in the dressing room lol. Farioli looked interesting but seems far too much of a risk just now

One bookie saying Rodgers another one saying Clarke has got the job.. I still think it will be John Kennedy although I think he should go with ange. I haven't a clue myself who we get. a successful japanese manager with iniesta as his assistant to help us in Europe

Kenta Hasegawa is pretty solid as a manager. Been at his club Nagoya for many years unlike the Polish manager of Urawa.

No, you just don't need to comment on his appearance like some love sick wee boy.

    Grow up.

Starting to slowly come round to Muscat.

He's not my first or even second choice, but he's been very successful in his career, and has followed Ange where he's left. Similar style of football too.

Would still prefer the likes of Gallardo, Potter and Knutsen, but Muscat would probably be shortly after.

Would pay big bucks for the Lille manager, Fonseca. Doubt that'd be a possibility for us though

As much as I don't like him and would definitely prefer Knutsen or Potter, there is a certain logic to Muscat.

We seem to have been caught off guard by the Tottenham interest in Ange. Up until fairly recently we were expecting to be moving forward next season with Ange as manager and there was talk of a new contract, transfer budgets, data analysis rooms and Japan tours against his old club. So it's not like we've been preparing for months for his departure.

So rather than have to change course quickly, you bring in someone like Muscat who has been successful in picking up what Ange has built twice previously. It also wouldn't hurt that he's managing in Japan so will understand the culture and mindset of those players.

Headbutting Todd Cantwell would be a bonus.

If it’s Jesse Marsch at least we’ve got the American market to tap into

From the Asian market to the American in 2 years

If a J-League manager is being considered, then fine. But Muscat? Would rather take Lennon back.

I can’t remember who it was that suggested him but Philippe Clement looks like a good shout.

His spells at Genk and then Club Brugge were very good. At Brugge although he didn’t get out a CL group he came third twice narrowly missing out the second time on second. His third season they got a really tough group but he still got 4 points.

Three league wins in consecutive seasons with the two clubs, he also seems tactically versatile which would be good for us when balancing demands of domestic and Euro football.

Hasn’t worked out at Monaco although he had them battling for CL football until match day 32 where the wheels came off a bit to the end of the season. When he took over last season they were bouncing around 7th- 10th and he got them on a run to ultimately finish 3rd, very close to second.

I think if we are looking for a coach that can play a number of ways, depending on your squad, has a track record of winning things while doing ok in Europe and also developing players he would be a very good shout.

Edit: Another positive in his Genk and Brugge teams there was a real international flavour to these sides, so getting the best out of a multi-cultural group much like we have now is something he has done. Their teams had South Americans, Africans, Belgian players, North Americans, Central Americans, Scandinavian and had Ito at Genk and Minamoto at Monaco.

I know the structure would be with a director but they two clubs have had some hit rate during his tenures.

My gut feeling is he'll be high on the boards list.

Don't think Maresca is the answer.

I'd like to go for experience again.

Isnt Muscat a hun *? Otherwise it makes sense.

I would go for Potter or Knutsen.

He was grim at Leeds very grim. Only won 8 games in 32.

I just don’t know if I would want him.

Potter has a point to prove. Was never going to end well with Chelsea and their mental owner and team full of overhyped bell ends.

Knutsen, Potter, Marsch, Clement, Farioli, Seaone...

Right, Mikey Nicholson. There's your starter for 10. Get going.

Edit: I'm open to these plus a few other names mentioned. But need to see us kick on from our current playing style and make a dent in Europe.
