The same fans who thought Mark Warburton would be a future England manager. The fact they rate Rodgers should be a worry

None of that is relative, as he’s now gone on to different jobs and smashed it while others have failed at Barca.

You can’t simply be successful based off knowing the players and the system. If that was the case, we’d hire Kennedy or O’Dea.

The point is the next great manager is just waiting on that next job that fits. Maresca could be that manager.

Let’s be real, Rodgers won’t be “interviewed”.

How do we know Rodgers is there, and not Iraola?

Because if it was Iraola it would have stopped at Madrid or Basque Country

Enzo Maresca has been interviewed by Leicester City about their vacant manager’s position as he remains second favourite for the Celtic job.

The Italian spoke to Foxes chiefs about becoming the permanent successor toBrendan Rodgers, now the overwhelming favourite for the Parkhead hotseat, at the King Power Stadium. Maresca was interviewed just hours after helping Manchester City create history as assistant to Pep Guardiola, winning the Champions League on Saturday to complete a Treble

Leicester City are speaking to candidates as they continue to weight up whether to appoint a new boss or make interim gaffer and former Aston Villa and Norwich City boss Dean Smith their manager. Maresca rejected an approach from Southampton but appears keen on the Leicester City, while the Celtic links continue. The 43-year-old has only been a manager in his own right at one club when he left the job as Manchester City Under-23 boss to take over Parma in Serie B

However, that proved to be short-lived as he won just four games before he was ultimately sacked and returned to the Etihad in a promoted role. He is keen to go it alone again and Leicester City now looks his more likely destination.

If it's true then it feels more like he is interviewing us about taking the job rather than the other way around. It would be very worrying bringing him in as manager with that sort of power

That’s making the assumption that Iraola can only be in those destinations. He could be anywhere in the off-season.

Still can’t see Rodgers ego allowing a return even if he is who we want.

It will be because of his ego that he will return...

Maresca chat Seems to have cooled off, and if Leicester have interviewed him first that tells me he was never our first choice.

I may be totally wrong here lol, but my thinking is if we're talking to Rodgers then he'll get the job, none of the other candidates come close.

Don't know if it's true that he is DD's preferred choice.

If these reports are true and we have flew out there with our chief exec and finance man on a private jet for one day only then there's no chance he's not interested. Clear as day.
