One advantage of an unknown quantity is that they won't know what to expect and will (hopefully) underate him.

I would rather we look at someone with experience than appoint Maresca.

Really dont think someone like Tomasson should be overlooked. Young, been in europe, highly regarded.

If you go back a few pages there is a link to the report I read, in there it basically says what I put, it said that the CEO was a bit like Levy in that he bought in who he thought not the managers and that Maresca used the young players

A good assistant/coach doesn’t automatically mean a good manager however. The only managerial evidence we have to go on is a failed stint at Parma.

Maybe our criteria for the job is different from Leicesters.

Maybe he didn't want the Leicester job and threw it.

Maybe he dropped a couple of eccies and forgot he had an interview scheduled.

    Who knows.

Is there any more word/rumours on Rodgers?

He still seems to be hanging in there in the betting and the grapevine was saying he was DD's first choice.

We’ve got our own version of Levy at the club, so I wouldn’t feel easy about appointing a guy who’s clearly happy to be a yes man when it comes to transfers.

Could be Deila all over again.

To hire a manager with less experience than Scott Brown and a lower winning % than John Kennedy when we are in our strongest ever position would be gross negligence but completely expected from our board

How many times are we going to go over bookie odds ? Must have been about 3 or 4 candidates that have had betting suspended already and it's only been 5 days. Favourite changes every day as well.

If they appoint maresca this is all about being in the city group or job for the boys and the guy is not the outstanding candidate for me and their must had a good few applicants wanting the job after Celtic winning a treble and in the group stages .

I think maresca would work out well and open up a lot of talent being tracked by the city group. I'd be fairly conservative in terms of what we actually would take directly from city though. Not a hope it was Ange who identified the likes of Jota or O'Reilly great stats with mk Dons. It was city group connections imo

I have only mentioned Maresca because I saw on the page before someone quoted him as 1/2 at the bookies... He was 7/4 on 365 last night, down to 5/4 this morning.

In case anyone was going to throw some money on at the first place they saw, would like to maybe help them out.

I'm not saying he's definitely the manager because of the odds. I do think that's who it'll be though.

Aye, the front of the bookies queue. Please remember that bookies are trying to get your money, not predict who our manager will be. They don't actually care, just as long as people are gambling, they are happy.
Whoever is appointed, it will be nothing to do with the bookies .
