So essentially he listened to the exact same interview everyone else saw from Pep and is using that to try and make out he has some inside knowledge? Jesus wept, the lengths some people will go to to try and appear relevant.

Let’s be honest it was never going to be Moyes.

It’s that Fulham game for me. 81 crosses in to 6’7 Dan Burn.

He’s clearly a good manager but he’s the complete opposite of what we, or any ball dominant team, need to break down low blocks week in week out.

Can anyone shed light on the Maresca situation to settle the nerves? What exactly happened at Parma?

Tell me half the team had covid, he never had a window to get replacements in or something? Give us something to make us think - fair do's, nothing he couldve done.

Its looking increasingly likely that hes the next manager.

Maresca didn’t have control of who they bought at Parma, they are a nut case of a club that splashed a lot of money that season on players that he didn’t really want or have a say in.

Even then, still a big risk.

“Here's a bit of a late-night tale for you. I was at home, it was well past midnight. I was just about to drift off when my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID – unknown number. I don't usually answer those, but something told me to pick up.

On the other end of the line, there's this voice, deep and slightly shaky. 'Brendan,' he says, 'Celtic needs you.'

At first, I thought it was a prank, but there was an intensity in his voice. He kept saying, 'We need you to lead the green and white again.'

I asked him why he was calling so late, why he was so desperate. And he replied, 'Because Celtic isn't just my team, it's my family. And we need you.'

It was a wake-up call, quite literally. It reminded me of the passion and unity that Celtic stands for, the deep connection we share.

So to that anonymous caller, I say thank you. Your late-night call served as a reminder of the love I have for Celtic."

More I think on it, the more I can see positives for a few of the names mentioned.

First thing first, Rodgers is a good manager and would do well again here. After two seasons we would probably be pulling our hair out at the possession for possessions sake football, but I'd doubt he would last that long anyway.
I'd wonder if there is talk of him because the club may see it as a quick one year option while they get the other * sorted and properly scout out a true Ange replacement.

Iraola really does intrigue the mind. Good stylez young managers promotion with Rayo. I'd imagine though he would be looking at us as a quick stepping stone to a big EPL club, much like Ange.
And I'm okay with that, because we need to be quite rightly snapping up managers like those get a great couple years out them, then see them move on anyways.
Managers can be just as much of a profit maker that players are. Look at Rodgers and the compensation.

Knutsen, probably makes the most sense of all the sensible names linked so far. And given a ultimatum, the one I'd go for instantly (though my heart seems to want iraola).
Knutsen has success in the bag, he's got respect and a reputation, knows how to play in Europe and would do very well here.

It's between these three for me, but I don't see the Rodgers one being realistic. Feels more like lazy journalism than anything. Along with the fact we wouldn't trust a word he says. It would have to come with a bunch of stipulations.

Pendy on KDS saying we have spoken to Rodgers representative. Apparently he's Desmonds pick.

I know it's not much, given we know Pendy talks pish.

This for me even if he got sacked by West Ham he would have probably got the Everton gig or something.

Done a little look at the West Ham Europa conference fairytale. Hardly the underdog story they gross outspent everyone they played by at least €150m, they net outspent everyone they played by over €170m.

The combined spend of every club they played in the tournament was approximately €69m with Fiorentina spending €38m of that. West Ham spent over €190m.

They have several players earning over or close to £100k a week.

When you see this Moyes will be on a decent salary, his transfer fund will be multiples what ours is there was no way he was coming here.

Moyes would've been an unmitigated disaster, just having to look at his coupon alone is enough to give ye the boke lol.
