True, but we could do with a manager that can maintain a good environment for them. If the board intend to be cheapskates, they can go for Kenta Hasegawa. Myeong-bo Hong has played in Japan long ago but is now running away with the league in Korea.

 

Why limit ourselves to a Japanese manager because we have a handful of Japanese players? The vast majority of our squad isn't Japanese.

We should be looking for the best candidate for the job, regardless of whether they're Japanese, Australian, Mexican or Scottish. It shouldn't purely be a Japanese manager because they can "maintain a good environment" for three or four of our players, it should be a person who can create a good environment for all of our players.

 

We have 3 Japanese players that have made the grade IMO.. We are not going to and we definitely shouldn't centre our entire operation around the Japanese and Asian Market.

I do believe we shouldn't disregard it too but let's not go overboard, there are other markets

 

I never said they were my first choices, but I do think catering to Far Eastern players has had its benefits. It's not like other clubs don't stack the roster with certain ethnicities (Benfica).

 

It has had benefits, yes - those players were cheap to get and it is a good market for us to continue shopping in. However, we are never going to have a majority of our squad being Asian players - it is just unfeasible and we should be looking across the world for the best talents.

A good manager of any background will be able to create and foster a positive environment, with backing from the club and us putting other measures in place to ensure those from abroad can settle here.

I know he was a hatchetman and * of a player but had only seen good things about his management.

 

It's not like Ange speaks the language himself, he still worked through translators, seen some people acting like our asian players are suddenly going to stop functioning with him gone, they're professionals.

 

Okay, I know of nothing in his managerial career that is horrible, but on the basis of his playing career I just can't trust him.

I can't imagine anyone here taking the Rangers job. In the same vein, I can't imagine Muscat taking the Celtic job. He certainly supports Rangers.

He played for them one season 20 years ago, think you're really building it up in your head like he's some lifelong hun fan based on very little.
