    Considering the amount of man utd / lfc there is in the uk I'm surprised we won this ahead of them nevermind the amount of neutrals who wouldve (rightly so ) voted barca.

    The only team that stopped peak Barca was Mourinho's Inter really, done every trick in the book against them and Mourinho was running about mental on the pitch when they knocked them out.

    Good Inter team as well with a lot of experience and solid players Lucio, Samuel, Zanetti, Cambiasso, Motta, * had Eto'o running about the wing like Maeda as well lol

    Same, I thought Maicon was better than Dani Alves at his peak probably like 2006-2011 or whatever.

    Was some passer of a ball, crosser and could shoot from distance. Had that class ball control and touch as well, was unusual and nobody really like him at pinging a ball about from full-back until Alexander-Arnold.

    The BBC poll relied heavily on previous European Cup winners with Jock Stein’s side breaking the southern European stranglehold when they beat Inter Milan 2-1 in the 1967 final.

    Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid all had teams nominated in the poll but despite a Scottish winner BBC Scotland have kept the result away from their website pages.

    Both the Daily Record and Scottish Sun have reported on the latest award for the Lisbon Lions but for whatever reason BBC Scotland have opted out of reporting on an in-house poll.

    No, they didn't.

    In 2009 they won 6 trophies in a calendar year, but it was over two different sesaons.

    Bayern Munich repeated this feat in 2020.

    For a UK vote, I'm surprised notts forest wasn't in the running. What they did was remarkable and up there with our own achievement. Coming from a division below, winning thst, then winning the old 1st division then winning the European cup twice back to back and a super cup is unheard now.
