    Because I could only fit in 5, for example Lustig is better than Samaras but if we want to do well in Europe then Matthews could play in place of Lustig and it wouldnt do much/any harm but we need Samaras.

    By 'most important', I take it to mean players that are irreplaceable in the team. We don't have another striker like Hooper at the moment. We don't have another player that can beat defenders and hold the ball up as well as Samaras can. Forster speaks for himself. Arguably better than Boruc, who was the best keeper we had signed in years when we first got him.

    As for Brown, he is the captain and the engine of the team in many ways. It's hard to say he is easily replaceable. I think we win more games than we lose when he's playing. He's also a character and a bit of a comedian, which I think every team needs when things aren't going well. I'd imagine he'd be good for team morale on the pitch when things aren't going our way.

    Finally, the colossus that is Wanyama. I wouldn't be afraid to say that he is world class and at only 21 years of age right now, he could maximize his potential and truly become one of the best midfielders of his generation.
