im not being negative, im being realistic, he has already spent some money and we are yet to see a return, i doubt the board would allow an inexperienced manager £10mil to do what he pleases. since when do celtic spend this kind of money.

yeh we do need quality defenders, but the board wont shell out for it, we also need a class goalscorer but we wont get one of those

who is our 'marquee' signing so far? if we haven't already got one then I wouldn't mind spending most of the funds on a high profile centre back. I am not sure who tho......

    (Puyol???) haha I'm a dreamer

i think its very easy blaming the quality of our defenders. if you remember vega, varga, sutton had all been epic failures the previous years in the premiership before coming here under a good manager who could organise a defence and provide the appropriate motivation. you can have a team of lampard's, terry's and drogba's but if you cant motivate the players or get the tactics right they are going to look poor, just like they did under scolari. im worried about the tactics more than anything

Lenny has already stated he is getting the cash.
GK, LB and CB must be priority, although I feel we can still do a deal for Bellamy as well. If the guy says recently 'I could just walk away from football' then this says I don't need the money. So surely the right challenge is what he is after.
At the same point, it is unfortunate to hear him talking about Mark Hughes though, so even after him saying he wouldn't go elsewhere in EPL, he may be about to u-turn on that one and consider Fulham. If he does come Man City seem to be willing to accept £4m, which would leave a further £6m for the GK, CB abd LB.
£2m a piece should allow us some quality if we shop wisley. And when you take into the amount already freed up in wages from those who recently departed and now McGeady as well, we should be able to spend the entire amount on transfer fees and still pay decent salarys.
The question has to be who are the best options at GK, CB and LB?

the things is if some of the reports are true about how much we have sold some of our players for for example Aiden for £9.5-£10mill and Boruc for £1.5-£3mill we've basically made a tiny profit in the transfer window surely?

so on top of what we have brought in it should be fair to atleast top it up with another £5mill of our own money to make sure we can get the real qaulity we want
