Shocking stuff that were now 4 days away from the start of our season and were still looking for a Left Back, Centre Half, and a Goalkeeper this should have been a Priority and new players need time to bed in pre season etc - Typical of celtic to pussyfoot around and leave things till the last minute. The Defence or lack of it is staring us in the face and its still a effin shambles !!

 

I would like to think he would get all of they money to spend, maybe get in some experienced defenders and GK but if we don't then we need to use it wisely and get the best players possible within the money available.

the defence needs sorting its an absolute shambles infact its an embarrasment. I am already worried about next season and even worse worried about ICT turning us over next week.

 

well Its reported its something like 6-7 mill upfront then 2-3 mill later on with appearances etc.. the usual stuff. Out of that i think celtics net spend is around 2 mill maybe 3 mill, we have received roughly 3-5 mill in player sales with boruc and McManus but we have spent 2.5 on Hooper, 2 on Juarez, 1.5 on Kayal and some larger wages for Ledley, id say 2 mill net spending, take 2 mill off the 6-7 upfront cash for McGeady, and id say Lennon will have 4-5 mill of the McGeady money to play with.

If need be come January i think the rest of the money could be made available to him if he needs it so the rest of the 3-4 mill then.

 

Can't see us spending a huge amount of it.. My prediction is the signing of an old GK and an old LB at not much outlay. We'll probably sign a few other youths and see people coming in and out on trial.

Still hoping for another surprise like Keane or Bellamy though but I'm not overly optimistic.

he has already stated that what ever money he brings in from players being sold he will get it all back to re-invest in the team! so yes i think he will get it all, infact i think he has the money from mcgeady spent already tbh.

 

That seems like a pretty well thought-out financial analysis. If that's right, I'd be dropping 3 mil on a LB and whatever's left on the keeper. If the defence is still rocky by january I'd be crying for that extra cash for a CB.

To get a player better than we have in any spot in the team we would have to spend the whole 10 million on one player.....people seem to forget these player want wages after they have signed......say bellamy cost us 5 million then the other 5 million would be used up on his wages.
3 better players and wages for 10 million....your having a laugh.

hope lenny gets all the cash. surely they can get the defence sorted now with 10 mil.

doubt he will see much of it, and if he does, no doubt we will have a few average championship players fending our cause next season

 

why so negative at least wait till window shuts first
