I agree we should give the guy a chance but Christ, we you miss sitters as frequently as he does, he isn't convincing anyone.

People can only comment on what they have seen so far. Opinions will change over the next few months. We'll know what he's all about by November. He had a poor start but looked a lot better yesterday (albeit against a very mediocre side).

your entitled to ur opinion and so am i. just think st johnstone are *, utter crap, like * useless as a football club. dont think just coz he scored 2 against SJ he good. watch the arsenal game. nevertheless he'll prob get 20 goals or so in the spl. but he wont do jack in europe.AND THATS WHAT WE NEED.

weve been in the CL or the CL qualifiers for years now, were not gonna come 3rd in this * league. were there, we have the quality to get there domestically but we cant stay in europe past christmas with players just good enough to win the spl.

yes agreed but first priority is the SPL even more so this year as it will only get us to this stage of CL qualifying next season so i believe he will have to earn his spurs in the spl first and lets see what happens ..like i said before BBJ took 8 or 9 games to get off the mark :50:

I know I agree, I must be missing something.

I don't understand the so called 'critics' of him having read through two threads on here I can honestly say I'm a bit bamboozled (always wanted to use that word) as to what's going on.

    - New signing need time to settle in and adjust to new country/team mates/style of play.

    - 5 competitive matches played 3-4 assists and 2 goals scored, arguably a better start to a Celtic career than most strikers we have had in recent years.

    - Mowbary has already came out and said that Fortune is not an out an out goal scorer but works for the team (as we have seen)

Is it his price tag that has attracted the critic's? is that it? I think that's it really isn't it? for £3.8million this guy should be scoring 2-3 every game whilst also setting up another 1-2 goals.... Judge him proper at the end of the season we can only play what's put in front of us Pittodrie is a nasty place to grind out a result yet we did it with flair and we smashed the newly promoted team at home again with flair albeit with some comedy defending on our behalf.

What can you do when we have the likes of Falkirk and St. Mirren to play hardly topdog competition eh? What will happen when we smash them at home? more grief?

UCL is a different matter and early on in our campaign Arsenal is not a team any of us wanted to draw. We were doing it as well containing them and hitting them on the break taking it to them and deserved something but as usual just * poor luck came our way.

I'll reserve judgement on Fortune until the end of the season - the whole team for that matter.
