Cambuslang is getting worse all the time.

There was a guy stabbed in broad daylight in Cambuslang yesterday. Place is reeking of Orange and Masonic Hunnery too.

Yeh, it's always been full of huns. I used to work in the factory on Westburn Road behind the golf course years ago and there were only 2 RC's in the workforce including me and, by *, they certainly let us know that we weren't welcome. Had to leave as I was getting bullied to * and, even though I complained to the boss and the union, nothing was ever done.

Aye they don't like RC's in Cambuslang, it's always been the same, very bigoted place that's never moved with the times, their local junior team is called Cambuslang Rangers too, so it speaks for itself.
Rutherglen is another Hun * Hole and full of neds and junkies, dangerous walking down that Main St at night now.

No in this house. I'm on the main street and was spring cleaning the other day and had the windows open. Went from The Dubliners, to Christy Moore, to The Wolfe Tones to Eire Og to Kneecap turned up to 11 :giggle1:

Yup. And the loyalist * hole The Black Bull about 100 yards down the road.

There are more Tims here than you think though.

Yeah the Black Bull. Den of Iniquity.

Tims in Cambuslang ? You might be right. But I've been going to Cambuslang for donkeys, and yet to see them.
The tims must be keeping a very low profile, can't blame them really.

Ruggy is the same. There is a Hun pub there called the Victoria bar, which has a sign up at the door, saying only regulars welcome.
    Code for Huns.
Maybe someone should complain about that sign.:giggle2:

You've got the Ritz on the main street that's a Tim shop. Finlay's is also majority Celtic. The Sefton too.

Maybe I'm just in the middle of it but the amount of folk walking up and down the main street at daft o'clock at the weekend belting out the rebs is very noticeable.

And that's in addition to me!

Two of the hardest shops I drank in when I lived in Ruggy/Castlemilk were The Vogue and The Glen. Two notorious Republican bars.

The Quarry is a Masonic bar and the Tower Bar used to be.
Mill Hotel in Ruggy used to be owned by Kenny Dalglish and the Burn Inn by Bobby Murdoch.

Cambuslang is the new Denniston. Up and coming.

Paisley or Airdrie get my vote.

My favourite part is that you’ve put Cumnock being *…..so they made New Cumnock and it’s still *

Generally most of these places used to have an industry that has long since gone and wasnt replaced. That coupled with a brain drain over the decades where young people from these areas who are smart and ambitious feel they need to leave to do well in life.

Depressing…he’s actually in a safe area during the day as well compared to others.Just the town centre is riddled with drugs and neglect.

Currently staying in Coatbridge and it's not the most braw. Some nice estates and the retail park is alright, but the high street/town centre is a dump. Half the place is needing pulled down and started again.

Airdrie next door is even worse.

Yeah that’s pretty grim. Surely there are nicer areas of the town though?
