    That is very true.

Seems like every place I leave becomes a paradise and where I end up becomes anti social hellhole.

Kilmarnock is a hovel, must be plenty of them down Ayrshire way. Even Ayr itself is a dump nowadays.

Hard to say though unless you get right in about a place. Most places aren't too bad to drive through because they tend to tart up the main areas to an extent.

Possil, Parkhead, Easterhouse etc used to be rough as before they knocked all the old flats down.

Ruchazie is probably the one place I went as an * and thought felt dodgy as. * knows if it is but felt that way.

Kilmarnock is a right shithole mate. Bus station is a big no no at night. Full of jaked up hoodies, druggies and their *, stoned out their minds. Irvine just as bad, in fact most of Ayrshire is a midden.

Possil's probably the only place up the road where I've double checked behind me a fair few times walking down Saracen Street from the shops right through to the petrol station the other side at pub shutting time. Was a wee boozer down a side street to the left spilling out and whole road felt a bit moody :giggle1:

There has to be worse shitholes though East and West. Places like Brechin or supposed to be right dives..

Every dodgy place in Glasgow is dodgy if you aren't from there.

If you hang about a place and know the locals it's cool as *, you won't find more friendly people anywhere.

If you find yourself in a strange place then it's going to be scary.

Pollok used to be really effin rough in its days, don't know if its just as bad.
If you walked down Brockburn Road or Dormanside, and you didnae come from the area, you had a good chance of getting chibbed.

    100%..

I wasn't scared or that, was just first time really I knew i was in a proper place so kept my wits about me. Was wee comments off * riding by us on the road, pub down left on side street spilling out, think they were fighting as it goes, dont know if it was a social club or that, was just a wall down a lane that I can remember :giggle1:

My grannie was from the tower blocks in Sighthill, was a dump back then. Never felt on edge. Dennistoun never really felt dodgy used to always be up there by Roebank street when younger and gang fights galore round that bit, never really felt on edge. Used to go all round that way, down to Parkhead. People always said watch out about Bridgeton, never felt any uneasiness walking through there. All Knightswood way i always thought was quiet..

Only Possil a bit ropey :giggle1:

I knew every * from Saracen street to Garscube Road in Maryhill. Even I knew wandering about there without knowing the young team was a life altering experience.

Same when I met my ex from the Milk. Folk looked at you like you had gills or green skin or something.

That Billy Moore from Liverpool goes around areas and gets a feel for them and speaks to locals,he done Possil and other areas in Glasgow fairly recently:

I’m sure folk will remember when the Canadian TV crew were around there as well about 06/07 and done a short documentary.

Anything past Hadrian's wall is probably sketchy to me.

Even he doesn't stray too far from the main road :giggle1:

Been a minute since I've been back in Possil but it's all changed. It was genuinely a no go area in the 80s and 90s. That guy would have been robbed of his camera, jacket, shoes and eyebrows not 20 years ago.
