A CB by a distance. We have needed to add quality in there for years and it's beginning to frustrate the life out of me. If we don't sort it this window, I will be gutted.

A target man is needed as well and not just someone that's good in the air, I want a physical striker that's both good in the air and with a record for scoring goals.

Both very important in my opinion.

CB, we need to improve there. We have players who can bang in the goals already. It would good to get another quality forward in but CB is a far more pressing issue right now.

Centre back, by a million miles, and we are in desperate need of a striker - so that shows you how mich we need a defender.

I'll be extremely disappointed if we don't sign both though.

For a striker I'd say capable of scoring goals on a regular basis, i.e. 20+ goals a season, links up well with team mates, particularly his strike partner, and chips in with a fair few assists as well. Hooper and Stokes tick all those boxes.

If we qualify then I would expect both but if we don't then I wouldn't want any as it isn't needed.

The board know this and will act upon after the game on Wednesday.

I want a quality striker who can play football. Height and weight irrelevant.

The two best goalscorers in the world, in my opinion, are Lionel Messi and David Villa, who are 5'7 and 5'9 respectively. But I sometimes think there are folk on here (not aimed at yrself) who would rather see Messi and Kevin Kyle.

Voted cb as we have always done alright for goals but have been crying out for decent defenders for donkeys years.. Instead we've had donkeys as defenders for years

Centre half, we know we can score goals, its the silly goals we concede we need to be trying to sort out, also the lack of good defenders we have at this club is surprising considering we were always solid at the back.

So you still wouldn't want us to strengthen our squad for actually making the most of Europa League football, in terms of our squad generally being stronger for the domestic season ahead and in terms of looking for Champions League qualification the following summer? I just don't understand the mentality of 'Okay let's sneak into the Champions League with the players we have right now and then suddenly get the quality we've require once we qualify or if not, remain weak in vital areas because we'll romp to the title anyway'. I think this is part of apathy and low ambition setting in amongst some Celtic fans.

Villa the best goalscorer? Ronaldo scored 69 last season for club and country!

You miss the point. There is no Lionel Messi for us to sign, however there are plenty of Nikica Jelavic types out there who offer goals, physical aggression and a bit of class upfront but if you think some utopian vision of 11 Celtic players under 6 Ft with tremendous skill is going to happen any time soon, you're living in a fantasy world.

I honestly don't know. We're * poor in both areas.

CB all day long for me. We have options up top which we don't have at the back unless we utilise big vic there.

    Hooper
    Stokes
    Samaras
    Watt
    (Commons if really desperate)

Those options are really poor though. If we're wanting to progress into a team which can compete and qualify for the CL, we need better. They all miss too many chances.

We can both compete and qualify for the CL using only those players.

In addition I'm sick of hearing on here about what we need "to progress in the CL". People - get * real - Europe is a luxury for us these days. No fault of our own, the financial barrier is just getting higher and higher.

Qualifying for the CL group stages is a massive achievement for a Scottish club these days and we have a squad who is capable of doing so at the moment. Everything after the group stages is a bonus.

And yet you want Russell who misses about 3 clear-cut chances every game.
