Dunno about that mate. Why shouldn't a school be able to ask parents to wear clothes on school grounds? It's perfectly within reason. I think people are too quick to worry about their rights being infringed. It might be a fine line, but the line is still there and this is firmly on the right side of it IMO.

Besides that, I'm thought I read this was just a letter suggesting politely that parents don't do this with reasons why.

The school are quite right to set standards on their grounds, but as you said it's your opinion, mines as well as it happens, but it will always be challenged as some kind of infringement on rights etc. by others. Unless it goes to some sort of European court for human rights, obviously very unlikely, there will never really be a definitive answer for it. It will just be a matter of opinion for individuals. I'd like to think that the parents will heed the request of the school though. It makes sense really.

    They are wearing clothes though.

Maybe they should wear a mini skirt, * tube and high heels.

At least they will be clothed after all.

Is a mini skirt, * tube and high heels not "normal clothes"?

What is normal clothes in your world? Maybe a sensible pair of shoes, trousers and a blouse buttoned up to the neck?

In other words a onesie and a pair of ugg boots?

Nightwear = Stuff usually bought from the 'Nightwear' section of shops. Worn by most people at nighttime or when they go to sleep. Some onesies are nightwear, others would be closer to normal clothes. Ask the store clerk.

Normal clothes = Almost everything else, probably including mini skirts and * tubes, I'll leave that to lassies and cross-dressing men to decide :50: Probably not including gimp suits though.

Tomorrow's friday so wear your PJ's (or gimpsuit?) tomorrow and start fresh on Monday :50:

Right so wearing your onesie to drop off your kids = bad

Dressing like a prostitute = good

I actually agree funnily enough. :smiley-laughing002:

Im with the mothers on reflection! I mean, whats the point of changing out yer jammies for say 20 minutes, just to put them back on 20 minutes later when you go back to bed?

No brainer for me!Next you'll be asking them to change out of them again at lunchtime ffs!!!!

My wife is killing herself laughing at all of you. She doesn't take the wean to school in her jammies because she is working at the time but she goes to the shops regularly for rolls and stuff at the weekend in her jimjams because why change for 10 minutes when she is going to be in them all day anyway?

    Bad parent that she is.

I keep asking her to dress for a night out at 9 in the morning but she isn't having it.

Man, you really have a hard on for me dont you?

    Misogynist, Islamophobe, anti Catholic......anything else?

What is basis for calling me a misogynist? That i dont like most womens sport? That i have had relationship problems? That i look at them in a sexual manner....the way they want to be looked at?

    Go on......!

Kind of. Aye, good cop out.

You really havent a clue about me, the way you think you know me if you think im a misogynist.....and yes, i do know that has nothing to do with wanting to * women!

I treat people as i find them, whether women or men.I either like them or dont, their * is incidental.

You're an old man and you live in the sexy women thread.

    It's creepy mate.

Your not a misogynist, not a unionist and not an anti Catholic/Islamist. :50:

Because she's going outside for 10 minutes? :smiley-laughing002:

Fair enough though, no ones trying to legislate against it. Some folk just think it's a bit lazy and maybe a bit clatty, if she knows she's not then she should quite rightly be laughing! Who cares anyway, I know it wouldn't stop me just because what someone else thought. :50:
