As soon as someone suggests spending some money Celtic fans automatically think it means you mean 10 or 20 mill or you want us to sign Ronaldo. No i mean a good few mill on say three players that would help us in Europe

So say 10 mill for 3 or 4 players, surely that wouldn't drive us into unstopable chasims of debt and we'd go bust like we keep hearing the huns are going to but they haven't yet. After all they spent some amount of money a few seasons ago

Well janko would cost about 10 mill. Even spending 4 million on Fletcher is way over budget if you want 4 players for 10 million...

Celtic have to look after themselves in terms od debt, not rangers. Let them do what they like. Allw e need to do is buy player who can seriously go out there and win the title if they play to their abilities.

You suggested Jano earlier i think.....he would cost more than £10m in terms of his total package

 

I think thats what we should do as well. We have a few players ready to step up from the reserves but i think we should splash some money on some key areas.

Fine then 3 players for 10 or 11 mill that are proven to be of a good qualit standard would help us. I dont know much Janko would cost its just that the price for him that was getting banded about here a few months ago was 6 or 7 mill.

Say a striker for 4 mill or so (One thats good and isnt Steven Fletcher) , a CB for 3 mill and a Naka type player for say 4 mill would help us greatly.

 

that would mean we would have 1 player to buy on top of him to keep within the £10m you said...not very smart when we have several players required.

Just a note on Janko.

Has anyone seen him play? I can honestly say i haven't. I know he has a decent scoring record (in Austria) and is a tall striker.

Just wondering why someone would say he is worth £6-7m

I've seen him play. Seen some good potential in him. He's a tall guy with ability to move quickly. Good pace and skill. Didn't see him dribble much, but I'm sure he won't have to, since he's header is good, so if he comes, we should use that. As I said, he's pretty tall, but he's not like JVOH or Samaras. He's strong in duel and good shooting.

Strenghts:
OC believes Janko to be fairly good in the air.

Weaknesses:
OC believes Janko doesn't have any real weaknesses.

He would be a quality signing. 5 stars.

 

He only lost out on the Golden Boot this year because he plays in Austria scored more than Diego Forlan but because hes plays in Austria you dont get as many points.
