Would give him another season, can pull the odd rabbit out of the hat and I think there's a good player in there somewhere.

Lose too much if we sell him now

Give him another season otherwise it could be another big £££££££ loss if we punt him now!

I'm starting to withhold judgement on ALL our players until we see a reasonable manager play them. All the guys that are regularly criticised have shown class at times (Fortune, Ki, N'Guemo, etc) so I think the entire team needs to be judged by the new guy and we can work from there.

If I were to make a judgement right now I would say Fortune is one of our best players. No coincidence that Keane has been scoring for fun next to Fortune.

Personally i would sell him.Not a good striker by any standards.Fair enough he tries hard enough now and again but for what we paid for him there is far better value players out there. Other than holding the ball up well on occasion and the odd goal here and there he's very average.Very frustrating to watch. Maybe he needs more time, who knows but id imagine his wage aint gonna be small so we could do better imo.

We all Have this pre conception that he is an out and out goal scorerer but Mowbray told us that was not his main strength and that he would bring more than goal scoring to the team . He was out the first team for almost 2 months so that would effect his tally and I like his ability to hold the ball up winning headers and bringing other players into the attack imo the best we have had since sutton and hartson.
The way I look at it hes a better player than jvoh and im sure he cost us more.

Im certain jvoh was cheaper and I much preffered jan to maf.Imho maf is lazy, crap in the air and a poor team player who's finishing is average, yes he's scored a few rockets but the amount of easy chances(sitters)he has missed is quite shocking, also his positioning and runs are crap and if he had half the desire of a jvoh he'd score many more goals..He was bought as a striker and strikers will always be judged on goal scoring,TM made a major mistake paying an obscene amount of money on an average player.

All big Jan done was give fouls away 90% of the time and had no pace what so ever to get past players. I dont think we have to play maf as a striker I think he brings more to the team in other positions. Hes not lazy ran his socks off against the dobs. Hes crap in the air, scored against the huns with 2 headers one of which was wrongly chopped off.

Jan was a physical striker who put himself about for the cause,I'd much rather have his style of play in our team rather than maf's who spends less time in the box than any striker I've seen at us.He is crap in the air and scores few headers because he's too busy hanging about the corner flag area.Maf has been outscored by Sammy ffs, that alone should tell you how good he is.He did have a period out through injury but I think he's had more game time than Sammy..

He wasnt out scored by samaras 10 each and samaras also played 2 more extra games, Even at that the stats arent great but there is no comparison to samaras. Robbie keane wont be complaining playing beside him.

I read Sammy had scored 1 more than maf, anyways neither are good enough to lead the celtic attack.

Personally while he is strong and holds the ball up well I would sell Fortune. He just doesn't seem to link up with the other forwards we have and he is at best average in front of goal with no track record of being a prolific goalscorer at all.

I would sell Fortune, as he is not what we require up here or even in Europe.

As a striker he is not clinical enough in my estimation in front of goal, and always seems to want that extra touch on the ball, to set himself up for a shot. You are not allowed that leeway in the SPL or Europe, and we need a clinical target man to put all those half chances away.
