    The only person I know that doesnt just call it a sausage or square sausage is the butcher, he calls them "square slice" when I ask for sausages he always says "square slice".

    But kind of relating to topic. I do enjoy a pork slice as well. (that's circle shaped rather than square). And in addition, my mum always has to take some down south to my brother. So annoying when I visit England. Can't get a roll and square sausage and on a crispy roll.
    I love the fact that when you go in for a roll you get asked "soft or crispy?"

    I went to the butcher and asked for a steak lorne and he just gave me it whole. Think you need to ask for square slice because some folk slice it themselves.:50:

    i was working down in Yorkshire, at the bolsover mine, and went into the canteen and asked for 2 rolls n sausage and sat down, the lassie brought me over 2 sausage-rolls. :rolleyes:

    I love a Soft roll, Square sausage, tattie scone and a fried egg with a soft yoak!
