What defender strachan needs to buy to fill up our great team?

Olegur hasn't been very good on the few occasions i've seen him but that was in La Liga! He would do a job for us

 

theyve played Oleguer at full back on most occasions and he hasn't looked to hot but when hes played centre half hes been good

 

I do want Gravesen, I never said otherwise. Dunno why you said I didnt...

They make up so much rumours, one of them is gotta be right.

Barca's strength is their quality in squad depth. Oleguer was a regular last season and even if he isnt this season, they'll want him to fill for injuries, suspensions and fatigue. I'll eat my hat if he comes here but I dont think so.

 

I was suggesting Webster months ago but it looks like he's gone to Wigan. Would take Huth from Chelsea, possibly on loan if we couldn't afford transfer fee?

 

nothin is going to happen on the centre back position

 

Huth was supposed to goto Boro but it fell through for some reason wouldnt mind the big one and im suring like Greendave said Mourinho would be willing to let him out on loan if funds are short after the JVOH deal.

Petrov is to attacking he does'nt hold the ball and lennons * jaroski is the same kind of player as petrov so they can't be on at the same time

Jaroski gravesen

pearson gravesen

because we already have 2 wingers mcgeady and naka so they don't hold the ball so in some matches it seems like that their is no midfield at all which puts pressure on the defence

I don't know what we are going to do with defence but we need to get lennon out

Yep, and he's been crap. That's why they're getting rid. He's not a good tackler at all. You only get the best out of Gravesen when he has someone staying back to do the dirty work, freeing up Grav to roam around the pitch and attack.

The best football he's ever played was as the main attacking midfielder for us (Everton) with Lee Carsley as DM in a 4-5-1. I'm sure Strachan will have talked all about this with Moyes.

Well said, mate.. not to be ignorant but some people are thinkin if he came then all our defensive frailties would be solved.. Gravesen plied his trade infront of Lee Carsley when he played the football that attracted Real Madrid.. we should go for Carsley if we want what some of the ghuys n ghals here think we are gonna get with Gravesen! Grav's is more a Petrov type than a Makelele or even a Lennon, and his tackling is not the be all and end all..

Are some people making a footballing assessment on him based on his bald head and the fact he is one angry mother, or have they actually seen him play?

He would be a very welcome addition though, but i've said it before, there was one WORLD CLASS midfielder (DM or otherwise) we could have had for 4-5m, and 3 years younger than Gravesen......
