Before the bonanza of signing loads of midfielders we actually had a squad with quite a resonable size. Our size in theory is good, problem is we have too many players in some positions and too few in others. 13 midfielders including the ones out on loan but still too few defenders.

A lot of people want more strikers. If we are going to keep this tactical system where we will play with one striker always no matter what, having more than 3 strikers in the squad is pointless.

I would like to see the fans having a vote on the strip- simple I know but would mean a lot.

    A few things I'd change:

    - 51% fan ownership
    - Safe standing in the jock stein stand (the full stand)
    - A more proactive transfer policy earlier in transfer windows (not waiting until the last hour when we are already eliminated from the CL)
    - The removal of Peter Lawwell
    - More cooperation with supporters from the board (although fan ownership should help this)
    - Healthy food sold within the kiosks not contributing to the already poor diet of Scotland (maybe baked potatoes, sandwiches - stuff like that)
    - An end to sponsorships from alcohol and gambling companies
    - More support for the local area and the impoverished children living there (using them to sell programmes, food etc for a fair wage, maybe setting up a nighttime football tournament or something to keep them off the streets)

I think people are kidding themselves on if they think the likes of VVD, Vic or Ledley were going to stay here with better wages. Its a different test they want as much as anything else. We can only progress them so far. They know that, we know that. And they are well aware of who is sniffing about and how much money they will be potentially offered before the contract is on the table. Agents are paid for a reason.

I would like to see a Celtic B team in the lower leagues. Think it would help our youth players out massively.

More youths should be coming through the system. That's the first thing I'd be looking at.

When a player wants to stay...he stays.....its that simple.

Ledley wanted to (stay) at cardiff and celtic....ran down both contracts and moved on.

Nah, Ledley would have stayed if we had renewed his deal. It wasn't going to happen at the wage level he was on though.

When Ledley signed for his new club, he signed a contract with the same wage he had here. He also said that he was going to sign on for us and left because he wasnt feeling the love after we accepted an insulting bid for him. I hate the board apologists making * up like they always do about Ledley. It was Lawwell who was at fault here. Just accept it and stop trying to push falsehoods. Its aul daily record bullshit. Repeat until it becomes truth. Just stop.

Of course you have proof of these erm..(facts).

Now because you don't (push falsehoods) you can easily show us some links or written statements from ledley, his agent, his lawyer, his accountant, celtic fc,his new club, or any other * i have forgotten.

Ledley, like Samaras were forced to leave due to not being offered new contracts. As far as I can remember that is not debatable?

The only player i would say was forced out the door was sammy, but as much as we liked and in some games loved sammy it was time for him to go.
One good game in 5 is just not good enough for celtic.

As for ledley even lennon said he was offered a new contract and he had the offer for a while(maybe months) before he left.

Reduce ticket prices - raise attendances. Why not trial cheaper ticket prices for say 3 games against Partick Thistle, Dundee, Kilmarnock and see if it makes an impact. £20 Is a fair price and we should take note of the Germans who excel in this department. Why sell 30-40,000 tickets for £26 when you could sell 50,000+ for £20.

He gave an interview shortly after leaving backing up everything I said. I believe the primary source from Ledleys mouth rather than an agenda being pushed on an internet forum by men who are either misinformed or well...

That interview is in the public domain if you care to look for it. Maybe you should look for it and after you read it have a wee think. You might conclude that aul Joe didnt want to leave at all but only left after our club accepted a bid for him with hours left in the window. Or you might stick to your guns and resurrect this fantasy that he was mad to get out the next time some man has the nerve to suggest your hero made mistakes in this negotiation.

He wanted to play in the Premiership, breaking our wage structure to accommodate 1 player was going to achieve nothing positive and everything negative.

We can not and will not do it to appease some fans that want our best players to stay. In order to progress we need to sell our best players and for multiple times more than what we paid for them.

So in this interview he said....im on the same wages now that i was at celtic....??
I left because i didn't feel the love....?????

Yes maybe he was going to sign but once a bid came in he thought...woooohoooo im out of here.

New contract offer for week or even months but does not sign.......bid comes in and he is down in london...medical done....contract signed in one day.

Looks to me he went and got what he wanted.

Im sure you will post the link to this interview where he tells us all about his wages and contract.

Look lads its up to yourselves to make yourselves informed. I wont spoonfeed it to ye. Go out and find the interview that I am talking about. Choose not to believe him if you like but at least do some thinking and consider the possibility that our chief executive (being kind) can make mistakes.

Must be a broken link here... thought this was the 'improve our team' thread, and it turns out to be the '* about Ledley' thread instead...

Yes everyone can make mistakes.....but you accused me of making stuff up.

So to prove your not erm...making stuff up....you will show me proof he is on the same wages now as he was at celtic...and he felt unloved by the club.
