I agree with you on that point, but I think it is because the manager ultimately has the last word on whether or not he wants the player.

You've just described our current manager.

No doubt still raw but with lots of potential undoubtedly.

Anyone who thinks Hiddink or anyone along those lines would come to Glasgow to manage in the SPL is an utter fantasist.

I see no reason why he’d think any less of managing Celtic now. Of course, if the worst comes to the worst and we can’t get Guus Hiddink, we could always try MacPherson.

Scottish football was completely unrecognisable then from what it is now.

Last time I checked Neil Lennon was still our manager.... what is the purpose of this thread other than hypothetical thinking?

Just a hypothetical question. I know Lennon is our manager and I think he is doing a good job and appreciate everything he has done/won for us.

But, it was just to gauge what sort of manager we can attract nowadays.

    Bump.

First ever thread on here. :52::smiley-laughing002:

Anyway, with all the talk about Ronny, what do folk think? What calibre can we attract?

Ronny was up and coming but not well known. I think that is our level but worry it might be lower than the likes of Ronny now!

I would think IF Ronny is binned, the next manager is on here already ...

You really think that we cannot attract managers from the Norwegian league. In that case we have no future. If RD does well and leaves us or does badly and is sacked we will have to look to the LOI or maybe some regional English league.
