used to love subbuteo as a kid.remember painting some white team to look like the shamrock Rovers 3rd kit, and also bought wimbledon in the mid 90's and painted
yellow band across the front to turn them into Boca juniors. even had a number 10 player with a yellow stripe painted on his head as was Maradona's hair do at the time.
have some stuff from the 70's too, a jules rimet trophy and some old teams in their
original 70's boxes, like bury and wolves. all in my wardrobe packed away in boxes now. haven took them out in about ten years. wouldnt wanta throw them out though.

used to be class at free kicks, the rule book forbade using your thumb as a spring so i used to use my middle finger as a spring for my index finger to take the frees.
    great game.
now its all ps3 psp and xboxes :38:

    Loved it....

This sums it all up for me...my youth.

Dukla Prague 1960's away. In 1986, Birkenhead band Half Man Half Biscuit - punk ethic purveyors of satire, social commentary, parody and angst - released their debut single, "The Trumpton Riots". On the B-side was the now legendary track, "All I want for Christmas is a Dukla Prague away kit": the finest study of adolescent obsession, frustration, rivalry, violence and table football ever to grace the wrong side of a bit of vinyl.

:56:mate, I'm still standing on those fecking toy soldiers, my youngest loves playing with them, and loves leaving them on the stairs even more.

my memories of subbuteo are trying to flatten the felt every time I played because my Da was too fecking lazy and cheap to glue it to a peice of wood
