I like taking the moral high ground too.

Tierney has been the only shining light throughout this season.

Griffiths is doing his job, scoring goals regularly in a * league. His commitment to improve has brought him on to be a reliable goalscorer.

I'd like to say I'm delighted we're still on for the treble but I don't want to count the chooks n aw that.

If we win the treble it'll be sods law that we've been utter dross and managed to achieve it yet when we have unbelievable seasons performance wise we feckin miss out by one freak cack performance or a reffing blunder.

Other than that there ain't much else worth mentioning. The Celtic way still looks great at night and they're putting a musical on in the Pavilion.

Reminiscing may be the only way forward. I wonder if that's what fans old enough to have been part of '67 say.

We were a grand old team to play for..... (that's still positive right)

The Fact That we are the best run club in Scotland,

That we have youth coming through and making an impact in the team

That domestically we are ahead of the rest of the teams

That we are in with a great shout of getting a domestic treble

That we have the potential to become a team capable of getting into CL group stages in the near future

    After much thought...

I'm delighted with how the Anthony Stokes situation has been handled and I am a massive fan of Stokes. Here's a guy who has had problems in the past, been told to buck up his ideas and he goes on social media and takes a swipe at the manager. Deila cut down on the press making it a massive speculative story and dished out swift punishment for his actions, to a player that is a big member of the squad (regardless of if he's been playing or not)

That's kind of thing sends a message to others, Deila can be very happy with how he handled this one.

I do really like him, his ideas and that are superb. He just hasn't convinced me that he's a man who can do that or even when we do that he can take it up a level in Europe. Everyhing he says is spot on though.

I'm not one to pretend he has no plus points, he has many, right now the cons outweigh the pros for me though.

See this is what leads me to thinking the players THEMSELVES are one of the major issues as well.........surely to * what we perceive to be poaitive from Deila, they maybe can't accept change and/or criticism?

If Deila fulfills his promise of fielding more and more youth players, then i for one will be over the * moon.

We have enough problems on the field to be worrying about nonsense like this off it.

Not for me mate, I think he's daft tactically and arrogant tactically. He's good at getting players working though, they all back him, they've repeatadly came out and said that. The dressing room is water tight, that's signs of a strong team spirit in there, Carlton Cole said it was evident when he came in.

Everybody backs him, everybody (except one) has bought into his methods, they all seem baffled about Europe. They've all said they feel fitter and better and are enjoying their football (even if they know they need to do better). That's all massive positives, the problem is, fundamentaly, we set up with major defensive frailties and that * us. When we get to a higher level it's like the players are confused, we start off on fire then usually concede, then you can see we are worried, it creeps out into the squad.

It's not the players for me, despite some horrendous individual errors.

I get where you're coming from mate, I really do, but it seems a bit contradictory that the players can be fully behind the manager etc etc if the manager continually is "daft tactically and arrogant tactically"?

Because he's a good coach mate, they'll be working with him every day, probably feeling personally better about themselves, breezing the SPFL, then we get ot a half decent team outwith it and it * up, we concede hilariously bad goals and the players look about thinking why the * is this happening.

The manager needs enough foresight to know why it's happening and to tweak it to fix it. It's literally a tactical problem, set up to stymie other teams and impose your own game doesn't happen under Ronny, we set up the same. He says stuff like we'll not face a team as good as Qarabag before the games against Malmo and plays against them if that's the case. Played against Molde like it was Ross County or Motherwell we were playing.

There's no adaptability their, no reactions to the way a games going or how a team plays. It's infuriating. He's charismatic, he can get people behind him, the way he talks he sells you the world, he is a step above anyone fitness wise in this country. The players will feel good for that.

Much apologies for going against of the grain of "positives" thread and not ranting about Ronny Deila over several pages but:

    - Craig Gordon has been tremendous value and a great gamble that has paid off excellently

    - Lustig is still a class right back and appears to be stringing a run of matches together

    - Jozo looks to be solid enough with the hope of bringing on others around him ie Boyata

    - Great to FINALLY see good competition at left back. Sorely missed.

    - Kieran Tierney. That. Is. All

    - Nir Bitton, classy as fck, makes it looks easy, signed a new contract

    - Scott Brown continues to be the glue that holds the team together (sans Europe :p)

    - Stefan Johansen is a quality player (going through a bad dip in form granted)

    - Scott Allan looks very promising indeed and has shown some great glimpses of what's to come

    - Tom Rogic progressing very well under Deila and brings good penetration in dangerous areas, which we lack

    - Kris Commons is Kris Commons, a fine wine but still lots of creativity and goals scoring threat

    - James Forrest looks like getting back to his best, getting games and no recurring injuries (please), fast as * and can change any game

    - Leigh Griffiths, goal scoring phenomenon and improved fitness leading to Henrik-esque headed goals too

    - Ronny Deila, mostly all positives when it comes to football knowledge, intellect, communication, domestic football etc (I will leave out The season EL campaign :p)

    - Peter Lawwell, has provided enough financial resource to RD to reach CL group stages and win a domestic treble each year

    - Celtic Park, looking resplendent with the Celtic Way, Stadium dressage etc

    - The strip, 3 pretty great strips this year versus the absolute abomination of las...(sniiip no negatives!)

    - Walking up the stair and exiting the concourse and seeing the pitch open up in front of you, magic!

    - The Green Brigade, wasn't a fan until quite recently but their unequivocal support and food banks (and general do-goodedness) have been a real, and nice, surprise

    - Top of the league and looking on course for 5iar

    - League Cup Semi to look forward to (and a manager who looks like he gives a * winning it)

    - the general redevelopment around the stadium (and more to come) means a very pleasant walk up to the stadium on match days

    - Another crack at the Scottish Cup

    - Big Jock, Wee Jinky and now Caeser immortalised outside the stadium

Just off the top of my head. Might add some more later :celt_2:

    To sum up my feelings about us at the moment;

I am currently a lot more excited about 2 or 3 years down the line under Ronny than I am about the remainder of this season.

Players I am very excited about:
    Tierney
    Henderson
    Allan
    Christie
    Simunovic

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Christie, very exciting from what I've seen of him.
