My gran was a big Celtic fan, more so than my mum so it was her stories from going to the games in the 40's, 50's and 60's that got me hooked.

Only 20 years old and had a season ticket most of my life. Only didn't have one last season but went to games last year. Been to every Celtic Supporters Club in the cities I've visitted. Been through Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia etc.

Was brought up on Celtic from birth. Wouldn't have it any other way.

My Dad is a Celtic fan so thats how I became a Celtic fan. We used to always watch the highlights and whatnot and now we are both season ticket holders after biting the bullet and getting our arses to the games.

my dad is a die hard hun (sadly) and my mum doesn't really care for football, but they split up shortly after i was born, and i went to my gran and grandas every day (both die hard Celtic fans) so that's how i became a Celtic fan, then my uncle ended up taking me to the games :icon_mrgreen: sure my dad tried to make me a hun, thank * that didnt work :bbpd:

I was always brought up in an Irish decedent catholic background. However, I would probably say that what swayed me toward loving Celtic as much as I do is that fact that I have very humanistic views, and for me Celtic as a club capture all of this and more.

    I * love the Celtic way. :celt_2:

My Dad is Irish and was raised RC (my grans choice as my grandad wasn't fussed) My Mum was raised RC as well. Both big Celtic fans and still are. My Dad saw the whole Jock Stein, Lisbon Lions, 9IAR era and has a lot of great stories & memories from then. Listening to those stories who wouldn't want to support the Hoops.
I suppose going to an RC school also helped as all my mates were Tims but I was a Tic fan from before then - apparently. Just as my bhoy is now; 4 years old and loves the Hoops. Loves Lenny and Hooper.

My papa was born into a protestant Rangers supporting family but they were wanks and put him up for adoption as soon as he was born, but was adopted into an Irish catholic Celtic supporting family and he was raised a Celtic fan :icon_mrgreen: Gran wasn't too fussed about football or religion (her family were all protestants but she became catholic when she married my papa, to the disgust of her family, unfortunately). Since then they had 9 children inc. my Dad and each and everyone of them are die hard Celtic fans, well at least the 6 boys :56:

My papa died before I was born but I put me being a Celtic supporter all down to him, and I hate to think if he wasn't adopted :eek1:

NOTE: I don't want anyone to think if you are a catholic you are a Celtic supporter but just thought I'd give a bit of background to my family :50:

Ive always supported Bayern Munich and they'll always be my 1st team due to me being born in Germany, my early years were a matter of moving too and from Germany - Scotland. When i was 7 i moved to England (supported Bury F.C due to my brother-in-law, was privileged to see Ryan Giggs very 1st match for ManU against Bury for Brian McClair's Testimonial at Gigg Lane) but always come up on holidays to visit family. When i come up i went to see East Fife. At the age of 11 i moved up to Scotland permanently and at aged 13 my friend's dad invited me to go watch Celtic in a pre-season friendly. I fell in love the moment i walked into the ground when i got home i pestered and pestered my mum and dad to go again! At Christmas i received a card with a IOU for a season ticket for next season ive held it ever since and never look back :D

These days i watch Celtic on home games at Celtic park, when they are away and East Fife are at home i'll go and give them my support. I try and go to Munich a couple of times a year to watch Bayern but its becoming harder due to the economy.

The Celtic Song ... There can be only one !
Some folk get to choose what team they follow others have no option !! That was me, my brothers, my sisters, uncles, cousins and my own Bhoys .... We were born Celtic Supporters and will die Celtic Supporters.

As the saying goes "Always have been, always will be Celtic"

No choice and thank * for that :50:

Everyone who cares about football in my family are Celtic fans.

My mum's side don't care about footy at all, even the men, and ALL my dad's side are born and bred Celtic, so I didn't choose Celtic it's just there by default haha.

    Thank * though :icon_mrgreen:
