Dad is a rangers supporter, but i grew up around my mothers side of the family, which were celtic supporters. Never had an interest in football until i was about 12/13 which was the year celtic stopped ten in a row. Never looked back, celtic through and through.

Can't remember seeing that although I'm 23 so it might have been took off by the time i got there, Quarry bar is stilll a huns paradise though. Apparently Andy Goram get's up on the tables and starts singing the sash and probably a host of other "songs" :97:

My dad was a rangers fan, all his side of the family were, including a few masons in there. He took me to a few hun games when I was 5-10 and didnt know better. I never enjoyed it. I then played u-11 and u-12 for the scum and after that I wanted nothing more to do with such a bigoted and disgusting club. Even my dad agreed that alot of what was said and done was wrong. Since then, I have follwed the hoops and it was the best decision i could have made. I play rugby and in a very blue club, the few of us tims feel a class apart. I love celtic and everything that goes with that.

When I was alot younger, I was actually edging towards supporting Rangers, my dad is a tim but he moved out so I never seen him everyday. It actually came to a point were I seen tims going to a game and started shouting "RANGERS! RANGERS! RANGERS!" :52: But I once went to McDonalds with my dad and I believe it was just after we stopped the 10. My dad said to me "Don't support Rangers, support Celtic, they're the better team" and obviously being that young I was like "Ok" and supported Celtic from then. I've got to thank my dad for that, if he never said that then * knows what would of happened with me, scary really.

My mums side are mostly Protestant Rangers fans, and my dads side are mostly Catholic Celtic fans, but they both agreed on me and my sister being Catholics. My sisters a hun though :47:

Like most Irish people, Celtic was always going to be one of the main choices.

All my family are Protestant, as I am myself. But in Ireland (Free State Ireland, that is) religion doesn’t really matter so much. There are lots of people in the Church of Ireland who support Celtic.

My family always detested the bigotry associated with Rangers. Felt more comfortable in the Celtic environment.

Dad was from a Rangers family but not really into football, mum's side was all Celtic and my uncle took me under his wing very early maybe 3 to learn about the Hoops, I remember watching the Lisbon lions on a grainy old tv set lift the EC in 67 as a little 5 year old boy on my uncles lap or thrown off it when we scored, I remember the joy in the house and country after it. I brought my son 25 up a hoops supporter from birth and he is still staunch as is my daughter and now 3 year old Russian son who's first English words were Cmon the Hoops!. Hail Hail and on to a better season next season.

all my life over 40 years and never had any doubts and my missus was a gers fans and her family are mosty bitter bigots but shes now a tim as in her words she didnt feel as if she wanted to be associated with the bigotry when our kids are catholic. I Have to admit ive known lots of gers fans who want nothing to do with all the bigotry as with me i was never into all the rebel songs etc just always wanted to support celtic for football

Unfortunately None of my family were into football, but for some reason i supported Celtic in school, prob due to my da' constantly singing rebel songs the club appealed to me.
Didnt really get the passion for the club till i was about 16, when i met my dads aunt, she'd moved to glasgow from a young age. I met her at my grandads funeral and the way she talked about our club sent shivers up my spine! When i realized how important the club was to the irish in scotland i was hooked!!
Went over for my first match about a month later, after match cousins took me out nd got me pished!! I get over for 3-4 games a year, wish i could afford more!!

I was born into a celtic family through and through, wouldn't have survived if id unimaginably chosen to support the huns, celtic all the way.

My Mums side of the family didn't really support a team, although her brother played for Aberdeen. She was converted to Celtic when she met my Dad.

My Dad is a Celtic fan, as are his two brothers. As is my Grandad, and his father before him. The Irish side of my family is all Celtic, too.

It's all I know and from a young age I was watching videos of games before I was born. I remember I used to dig through the old VHS' and get videos from the 80's. Watching guys like McAvennie, McStay, Grant, Aitken, Bonner, Elliot etc

And I used to watch old videos, like 'Jinky' and loads more.

I've loved it for as long as I remember. I loved playing football, watching football, singing Celtic songs. It's what my youth was all about really haha.
