I think most reasonable people would assert that singing songs about the provisional IRA, murderers of innocent men, women and children, is pretty offensive. But like you say, I can't tell you what you should be offended by, only that you should have a less-selfish standpoint than "we've always done it so nobody is going to stop us now."

Regardless of what you think, there are people who sympathise with the republican cause, support celtic with all their heart and find songs about the PIRA distasteful, offensive and totally impertinent to a game of football.

Lenon is the victim of bomb threats, bullets through the post and a physical attack, but some people on here criticise fellow celtic supporters for their solitary retaliation of singing songs. No celtic supporter has the right to tell other fans what not too sing, especially considering the songs are about irsh republicanism, something this club was founded upon.

Singing about the PIRA IS NOT SECTARIAN. Doesn't matter how many times you want to say it doesn't make it true. You can't ban songs because they are offensive to some easily offended people, otherwise there would be pretty much no songs to sing by any fans. The SFA are probably offended by us singing '* The SFA', should we stop that?
