What's wrong with singing The Celtic Symphony?

    It won't cost us.

I'm not going to stop so we can attempt to look whiter than white next to the huns.

It's a song about Celtic so why not sing 'OOh and up the Celts' instead?

Nothing as such. But how often do we hear the full song (a great song btw)?
It's usually just the 'ooh-ah up the 'RA' bit in a blatant attempt to wind people up - like Tynecastle the other weekend. That's the cringeworthy part.

Like i said rebel songs and Irish music are great, and we shouldn't break with our traditions - but we should be telling people we are proud of our heritage, not trying to wind them up or give them reason to get (easily) offended :50:

    That's not the lyrics.

Contrary to opinion on here "Ooh ah up the 'RA" is not an add on to the song, it's the actual lyrics!

Yeah I know. And they are inappropriate. The IRA has nothing to do with Celtic FC.

If that * Queen is willing to change 'And rebellious Scots to crush' surely we can change RA to Celts. We're there to support Celtic not the RA.

No. I like the song the way it is.

I can tell you right now I definitely don't sing it to wind people up. I'm sure most of us are the same.

Sing Boys of the Old Brigade but don't sing about the IRA.

I'm sure there's a contradiction in there somewhere..........

    Very true mate.

You can sing about the IRA but just don't sing about the IRA.

    Its laughable.:56:

No sense in trying to get through to this guy. He's too stubborn, won't change.

Yeah, "Let the People Sing" blah, blah, blah. Heard it all before.
