Most of us don't have problems with 'rebel' songs. It's the PIRA related ones that are the problem. Like it or not the PIRA were terrorists.

Sing what you wish. But if your chants come back and directly damage the Club then it's you and the others singing them will have to accept responsibility for your actions.

No one here can stop you doing what you wish to do but we can make you aware of the consequences of your actions.

Im not a huge fan of the Provos. They attacked the wrong people in my book. The majority of our songs refer to the volunteers and the original IRA. Its a bit hip hypocritical to moan about Celtic and Rangers being tarred with the same brush. Just to go out and tar all forms of IRA with the same brush.

watch out - there is a danger people are going to start agreeing here!

all seem to agree that PIRA stuff not particularly desriable?

Would coming up to a group of you to say that up the RA chants are detrimental to the club really make a difference? You're all grown ups and ought to be aware of the consequences. If this does occur and it damages the club then those who have done so will be held responsible.

It would certainly be wrong to say that we're as bad as the huns, but we do have to stop the IRA stuff. It reflects very poorly on the club and gives the media an excuse to slander us. I think historical stuff like Boys of the Old Brigade is acceptable, but chanting 'PIRA' is out of order. If we want to trully claim the moral high ground over the huns then we can't give them the oppertunity to say 'well your fans are just as bad because you sing this'.

We did it once and under the circumstances I think it can be excused.

Then we couldn't be hypocrites :)

I'd love it to be all Celtic songs and adapted pop songs etc.

iv not been to an away game in 4 years, but lets face it, if i rocked up to one of the fans singing 'PI-PI-PIRA' and asked him to stop id probably get ma head kicked in by numerous supporters, time for it to end though, your no some kind of 'super fan' if ye know these songs and support the IRA as some fans think
